Overview of the programme

ย The Junior Public Health Professional (JPP) Programme in WHO South-East Asia Region (WHO-SEAR) is operational since 2011. Its primary goal is to offer young public health professionals under 35 years of age from South-East Asia Region (SEAR) Member States a valuable opportunity for hands-on learning and leadership development.ย 

ย The program aims to enhance technical and management skills in implementing targeted health programs and expose participants to methodologies and strategies used by WHO, inter-governmental organizations, and other international health development partners in providing essential support to nations.

ย To ensure equitable capacity building across SEAR Member States and attract young talent in key public health areas, opportunities are proposed to be provided through a JPP roster mechanism.
