Background:
The Office, in collaboration with the ICEP (an independent, non-profit, Austrian development organization based in Vienna) and the KFCSED (Kazakhstan Foundation for Cultural, Social and Educational Development), is planning to organize a series of workshops in a pilot region of Kazakhstan, specifically in Almaty and Almaty Oblast. This initiative will be cross-dimensional, carried out in partnership with the Officeโs Human Dimension, ensuring a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach.
The workshops are aimed at building practical skills, enhancing employability, and promoting entrepreneurship among women, particularly mothers with multiple children and victims of domestic violence. This initiative is particularly aimed at empowering women who are particularly mothers with multiple children and women who have experienced gender-based violence, by improving their access to economic opportunities.
Objective of Assignment:
The Office will require the services of a national SMM/visibility expert to enhance the visibility of the activities under the women's economic empowerment programme.
Duration of Assignment:
The expert will be hired for 4 months.
Tasks, Responsibilities and Deliverables:
Under the overall supervision of the Senior Economic and Environmental Officer, the successful candidate will be tasked with the following duties:
1. Develop and implement visibility plan across social media platforms.
Output to be achieved: Approved visibility plan implemented across the social media accounts of KFCSED and OSCE, in collaboration with other project partners.
2. Co-ordinate visual documentation of the training programme.
Output to be achieved: Photo and video materials captured for all 80 sessions; a well-organized folder containing all visual content clearly labelled for each training group and date.
3. Prepare weekly updates, social media posts, and media materials in Kazakh and Russian.
Output to be achieved: At least 3 video reels and 6 stories published monthly in both Kazakh and Russian, totaling at least 12 reels and 24 stories over the project duration.
4. Support recruitment of participants through targeted communication strategies.
Output to be achieved: Targeted online campaigns (ads, posts, stories, etc.) launched prior to training commencement, with documented evidence of reach and engagement (e.g., Instagram/Facebook metrics).
5. Assist in promoting the final event and sharing project outcomes.
Output to be achieved: Promotional campaign for the final event launched at least 2 weeks in advance, including at least 2 posts and 1 video recap published after the event.
6. Prepare monthly reports and final summary of results.
Output to be achieved: Four monthly progress reports and one comprehensive final report, including an analysis of the implementation and outcomes of the visibility plan.
Necessary Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in managing social media across diverse sectors, including fitness, creative studios, nutritional supplements, dubbing, education, and sports since at least 2021.
- Proficient in developing high-impact video content, including Reels and Stories, designed to maximize audience engagement.
- Strong copywriting and visual design skills, with the ability to craft compelling written content and visually appealing materials using tools such as Canva.
- Experienced in content planning and analytics, with a proven ability to optimize social media strategies based on performance insights.
- Dedicated to continuous professional development, with training in self-coaching, video editing, and design.
- Expert in building cohesive visual identities and ensuring consistent brand representation across multiple digital platforms.
Remuneration Package:
Remuneration will be based on the selected consultant's/expert's qualifications, experience, the tasks and deliverables for this position and in accordance with the OSCE established rates.
