Where you come in:
In this part-time max term role (9-day fortnight), youโll work within a case management framework in a refuge and outreach setting, providing support to children and families who are experiencing domestic and family violence.
Based in the Moreton Bay region, youโll work 68.4 hours per fortnight. In week 1, youโll work 7.6 hours per day from Monday to Friday and in week 2, youโll work 7.6 hours per day from Monday to Thursday. These hours will be operated from the refuge and in community settings, all located within the Moreton Bay region. This role is to cover maternity leave until 31 March 2025.
You will make an impact by:
Providing holistic case management, delivering support to vulnerable and disadvantaged clients and supporting relationships for favourable client outcomes. Identifying strengths, establishing goals for the program and reviewing client progress towards these goals. Promoting skills which increase health, safety and development. Ensuring the voices of children and young people are heard. Enhance stakeholder relationships and partnerships with the view of providing clients with support that will help them to address their needs. Work collaboratively within a small team to deliver best practice to women and children who are experiencing DFV.Does this sound like you?
Youโre an experienced practitioner who is passionate about supporting families within a child centred, strengths-based framework. Importantly, you have a strong understanding of the impact of trauma on children and their families and youโre keenly aware of the additional impacts and barriers experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.
Demonstrated experience in case management and knowledge of relevant legislation. Knowledge and previous experience working in the Domestic and Family Violence or closely related human services context. Demonstrated experience and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and families. Strong report writing, analytical and evaluation skills, including data collection and analysis. Tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or significant experience working in a similar service.
