Youth Worker - Bail Support

Queensland has the highest remand rates in Australia and 54 reasons’ Bail Support program is focused on turning this statistic around. We need you to work closely with young people involved with the youth justice system to take the steps to become the best they can be, through practical support, case management and advocacy.

In these casual roles, you’ll work to support young people to meet their bail conditions and to re-engage in the community, with the ultimate aim of building their capacity, reducing their risk of entering custodial settings and diverting them from the justice system.

Note: This casual role will involve after hours and weekend shifts as required.

You’re passionate about working alongside young people, and you enjoy working with families and young people from different walks of life, with complex and challenging needs. You understand the issues facing young people and have creative, innovative ideas to provide support. This coupled with your dynamic personality and communication skills enable you to build connections to support young people to lead a bright future.
