The purpose of the WASH Project Manager position is to implement the delegated WASH project portfolio. The following is a brief description of the role.ย 

ย What you will doย  ย  ย  ย  ย 

Line management for project staffย  Adherence to NRC policies, guidance and proceduresย  Contribute to the development of Country, Area and WASH strategies, initiate, and participate in the development of the WASH projectsย  Coordinate and manage WASH project implementation (activities, budget and project documentation) in line with proposals, strategies and donor requirementsย  Implement technical direction and ensure high technical quality of projectsย  Provide regular progress reports to the Area Manager and the WASH Specialist/PDM/ Advisorย

What you will bringย  ย  ย  ย 

Contribute to needs assessments, including protection risks and needs, and provide area specific information and input to CC PDMs/HoP and AM for proposal developmentย  Responsible for development and follow-up of detailed project work plans, spending plan, M&E plan and resource plan for the WASH projects on area levelย  Scale up and diversify WASH operational capacity to ensure high standard project implementation and potential expansionย  Overall accountable for monitoring and oversight of technical quality of WASH projects and maintain transparency of implementationย  Support the consideration and inclusion of cash-based interventions and market-based approaches within (and across) NRC core competency responses, where appropriateย  Overall accountable for quality assurance of NRC GORS WASH data for the areaย  Responsible for mainstreaming of protection in project implementation in line with NRC Protection Policy and guidelines.ย  Contribute with WASH specific contextual analysis with input to the contingency plan and contribute to WASH related activities as a part of RRM in the areaย

Duty station: Asosa, Ethiopia with frequent travel.ย 

Contract: National, 6 months with the possibility of extension.ย 

Travel: 50%.ย  ย  ย  ย 

Salary/benefits: Grade 8 on NRCโ€™sย  Ethiopia national salary scale.ย  ย  ย
