Context:
Established in 1951, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) is a related organization of the United Nations (UN), and as the leading UN agency in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.ย
For years, IOM Indonesia has been collaborating with regional and national stakehoders, including but not limited to ASEAN, IOM Southeast Asia Country Offices, governmental and nongovernmental institutions of Indonesia to address migration issues. Since migration is a cross-pillar and cross-sectorial issue, IOM supports ongoing ASEAN efforts to promote safe and regular migration through the ASEAN Consensus on the Protection and Promotion of the Rights of Migrant Workers and the ASEAN Convention Against Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children (ACTIP). IOM also aligns its efforts in support of regionally led disaster risk reduction, preparedness and response through coordination and collaboration with the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance (AHA Centre). Moreover, IOM regional programmes aim to build an increased understanding and action around the nexus of migration, environment and climate change. climate-induced migration, strenghten community resilience to environmental changes and prepare for disasters.
โIOMโsย Mobility & Resilience Unit and Climate Resilience Team work onย preparedness and prevention as well as in emergency response in terms of climate-induced displacement. Under the direct supervision of the Project Officer and overall supervision of the Programme Officer, the Project Associate will be mainly responsibleย for the implementation of ย EU-Asean MECC project activities,ย including other assigned projects in line with the approved workplans and budgets toย support the field team. Work closely with relevant IOM staff and partners to ensure the centrality of protection in the response and to strengthen the protection environment for the refugees.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Under the supervision of the Project Officer and in close coordination with the Head of Office, support the implementation of project activities and including events organization in line with the approved workplans and budgets;ย Support financial and programmatic compliance in project implementation to ensure that all administrative procedures are carried out timely and according to IOM standards;ย Identify and report immediately any challenges or risks to the beneficiaries, staff or partners and ย suggest operational solutions;ย Support the field team to mainstream protection principles and reduce protection concerns in disaster prone areas and work on molibilty-based climate change adaptation. Work closely with relevant IOM staff and partners to ensure the centrality of protection in the response and to strengthen the protection environment for the refugees;ย Support the team to collect and maintain relevant information to contribute to the program monitoring of performance indicators and regular reporting systems by preparing data analysis, summary sheets, internal reports and other form of monitoring tools in accordance to program needs;ย Support the development of communication plan and visibility strategy in line with the requirements of IOM and project donors to help ensure a positive exposure of project activities and results.ย ย Support adherence to IOM data protection principles and data protection policy at field level; Perform any other duties as required.Required Qualifications and Experience

EXPERIENCE
With working experience in engagement with Asean and Indonesian government and local embassies to facilitate liaison and coordination with institutional stakeholders; Experience in humanitarian or development programmes, preferably programmes targeting populations on the move;ย Experience with government coordination;ย Experience in staff supervision and demonstrated prior experience with leading a team will be an advantage.SKILLS
