NRC in the Islamic Republic of Iran:
NRC started operations in Iran in 2012. We currently deliver humanitarian assistance in 10 provinces in Education, Food Security and livelihoods, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Shelter construction, as well as Information, Counseling, and Legal Assistance (ICLA). We co-lead several technical inter-agency working groups and provide capacity building to humanitarian partners in the country. Next to our programs, NRC Iran also built an advocacy unit to develop joint messages and initiatives among INGOs to improve the rights of the displaced. ย Following several recent breakthroughs, NRC Iran is scaling up substantially its activities in support of the Government of Iran's efforts towards an estimated 3,6 million Afghans residing in the country and is expanding its programme unit.ย 1.ย Role and responsibilitiesย
The purpose of the officer position is day-to-day implementation of the support functions responsibilities.ย Generic responsibilitiesย
1. ย ย Compliance and adherence to NRC policies, guidance, and proceduresย
2. ย ย Implement delegated support function portfolio according to plan of action.ย
Ensure proper filing/archiving of documents.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Promote the rights of refugees and displaced in line with the advocacy strategy.ย Work collaboratively with Logistics unit Support with maintaining cleanliness, safety, and serviceability of vehicles and work areas Ensure timely and safe transportation of staff, visitors, and goods. Report any security incidents or vehicle-related issues immediately. Provide general maintenance support at the office and other premises. Support logistics and facility-related tasks as instructed.ย Specific responsibilitiesย
Support with driving staff and assigned passengers to and from assigned destinations safely and punctually. Support with conducting daily vehicle checks (fuel, oil, brakes, tires, lights, etc.) and report issues. Maintain accurate vehicle logs including mileage, fuel, and maintenance records. Assist with the delivery and collection of documents, parcels, and supplies. Support minor maintenance and repair work in offices and other premises (e.g., plumbing, lighting, furniture). Support with monitoring and restocking cleaning and maintenance supplies. Support with moving furniture or equipment during setups for events or meetings. Assist in loading/unloading items. Coordinate with the Admin/Logistics team for scheduled transport arrangements. Support with maintenance schedules and utility checks in coordination with line manager. Support the maintenance of office utilities and equipment, ensuring they are fully functional and carry out minor repairs independently when feasible before escalating to external service providers. Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor relevant to transport and service duties.We Can Offer
