ย ContextUnder the overall supervision of the Head of Office (HoO) and direct supervision of the Programme Coordinator, and in collaboration with relevant units at Headquarters, (Sub-)Regional Office(s) and other IOM missions, the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for supporting IOM Finlandโs engagements in Return, Readmission and Reintegration, with a special focus on repatriation.
Assist in the planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring of project activities.ย
Compile, summarize, analyse, and present information/data on specific project topics,ย highlighting noteworthy issues for the consideration of appropriate parties.
Monitor budget implementation and propose adjustments as necessary.ย ย
Act as focal point for administrative coordination of project implementation, involving extensive liaison with diverse organizational units and external parties to initiate requests, obtain necessary clearances, follow-up on administrative actions, etc.
Draft status reports; identify shortfalls in delivery, bring them to the attention of the supervisor and suggest corrective measures.ย
Draft correspondence on project issues; prepare and update reports, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, and other forms of documentation.
Organize meetings, workshops and training sessions; prepare training materials and participate in the delivering of capacity building workshops.
Respond to complex information requests and inquiries; set up and maintain files/records.
Participate in meetings and conferences; maintain effective liaison and coordination with local authorities, partners, United Nation agencies, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, donors and other stakeholders relevant to the project.ย
Monitor work of implementing partners and report any non-compliance to the supervisor.
Provide inputs for the development of Standard Operations Procedures (SOP) and concept papers and provide general support for the development of new projects.
Provides guidance/training and assist in coordinating and monitoring work of other staff in the unit; may supervise other staff as assigned.ย

- School diploma with six years of relevant experience; or,
Bachelorโs degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with four years of relevant professional experience.

Accredited Universities are those listed in theย UNESCO World Higher Education Database.ย ExperienceExperience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations;ย
Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups; and,
Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
Experience in project management, including the use of resultsโbased approaches to plan, monitor, and assess project activities.

SkillsKnowledge of IOMโs migrationโrelated thematic areas relevant to repatriation โ including protection, assisted voluntary return, readmission processes, sustainable reintegration, and movement management, Cash-Based Interventions (CBI) โ is considered advantageous.
Knowledge of financial rules and regulations and internal control procedures for project implementation.
Strong writing and analytical skills, including ability to draft reports, briefing notes, and project documents.
Coordination and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience liaising with government authorities, and partner organizations.
Ability to organize work, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure, while maintaining attention to detail.
Knowledge of monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) frameworks for project performance tracking is considered advantageous.
Demonstrated supervisory and guidance skills, including the ability to oversee junior staff, provide clear instructions, review work for accuracy and compliance, and support team capacityโbuilding and performance.Languages
