ย ContextUnder the overall supervision of the Head of Office (HoO) and direct supervision of the Programme Coordinator, and in collaboration with relevant units at Headquarters, (Sub-)Regional Office(s) and other IOM missions, the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for supporting IOM Finlandโs engagements in Return, Readmission and Reintegration, with a special focus on repatriation
Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities.ย
- Retrieve, compile, summarize, analyse, and present information/data on specific project topics.
- Monitor budget; verify availability of funds; obtain necessary approval and update budget related information.ย
- Act as focal point for administrative coordination of project implementation, involving extensive liaison with diverse organizational units and external parties to initiate requests, obtain necessary clearances, process and follow-up on administrative actions, etc.
- Draft status reports, identifying shortfalls in delivery, bring them to the attention of the supervisor and suggest remedial actions.
- Draft correspondence on project issues; prepare and update reports, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, presentation and other forms of documentation.ย
- Respond to complex information requests and inquiries; set up and maintain files/records; organize meetings, workshops and training sessions;ย
- Participate in meetings and conferences; assist in coordinating implementation activities withย local authorities, partners, United Nation agencies, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, donors and other stakeholders relevant to the project.ย
- Assist in monitoring work of implementing partners and report non-compliances to the supervisor.
- Provides guidance/training to new/junior staff.ย

- School diploma with five years of relevant experience; or,
Bachelorโs degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience.Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.ย Experience
Experience in working with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies or non-governmental organizations;
Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups; and,
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.ย
Experience within projectโbased approaches, including planning, implementing, and monitoring activities using structured tools and methodologies such as resultsโbased management (RBM) is an advantage.

SkillsKnowledge of migration management and return, readmission, and reintegration processes; knowledge of relevant IOM standards and principles including Cash-Based Interventions (CBI)is an advantage.
Understanding of financial rules and regulations, including donor compliance and internal control procedures.
Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.ย
Proficiency in case monitoring and follow-up, ensuring timely assistance to beneficiaries and proper documentation of beneficiary support.
Ability to maintain accurate financial and beneficiary records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection standards.
Skills in data entry and financial tracking, including the ability to accurately record beneficiary information and monitor assistance processes, with the capacity to learn and use IOMโs financial and case management systems.ย
Capacity to identify and resolve discrepancies in payment processes and escalate issues promptly.
Strong communication and customer service skills, to provide clear guidance to beneficiaries and partnersย
Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions and adherence to timelines.Languages
