The Staff Learning Unit (SLU) is located within the Integrated Talent Management Division (ITM) of IOM and is responsible for managing programmes and initiatives established in line with the learning and development needs of the Organization. SLU is based in Valencia and Manila.

Under the overall supervision of the Chief, ITM Division and the Head, Staff Learning Unit at the IOM Global Learning Centre, and under the direct supervision of the Human Resources Officer, Learning Solutions Development, the Senior HR Associate (Learning Solutions Development) will assist in coordinating the learning solutions production pipeline and a team of staff and consultants responsible for delivering learning solutions.

Assist in coordinating the production pipeline. Plan, monitor and report on the activities and deliverables of staff and consultants who develop learning solutions, including Instructional Designers, Animators, Videographers, Graphic Artists, and others, by assigning projects, monitoring progress and quality, and reviewing deliverables, managing delivery schedules and understanding business requirements and objectives in order to produce effective learning initiatives.Support the assessment of incoming project requests of the Learning Solutions Development (LSD) team, in coordination with the Senior HR Associate, LSD Coordinator, by organizing and attending meetings and following up on missing information with internal and external training owners to understand the learning objectives, requirements, timeline and target audience,ย Participate in the design and development of eLearning course templates alongside instructional designers and other eLearning developers;Partner with the Development team to create digital and print assets for courses; Video production, including audio and video editing in SCORM (Shareable Content Object Reference Model); Develop illustrations, graphics, etc. to support the course content; Work with Instructional Designers to produce high quality eLearning content.Assist in coordinating the eLearning content review process with subject matter experts and instructional designers; obtain training ownerโ€™s sign-off as part of acceptance of work process.ย Contribute to the global learning calendar by ensuring that all learning solutions developed by the team are featured in the calendar and uploaded in the Learning Management System (LMS).Handle all tickets raised in the ticketing platform concerning learning solutions development.ย Work with SLU colleagues who look after the LMS team to support the upload of the learning content into the learning management system; help troubleshoot defects and implement fixes in resolving technical issues and uploading the curricula on IOMโ€™s LMS.Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Education

University degree in Digital Learning development, Graphics design, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with four years of relevant experience; orย Completed High school/ Secondary school education with six years of relevant experience.ย Holds a project management certification or has, at least, two years of relevant professional experience in project management.Kirkpatrick certification (at least Bronze) an advantage.

Accredited Universities are those listed in theย UNESCO World Higher Education Database.

Experience

Relevant professional experience in multi-media and learning;Experience in managing staff and consultants to deliver a portfolio of learning solutions projects; and,ย International experience an asset.

Skills

Fluency in Articulate, iSpring, Adobe Suite Tools such as Illustrator, Photoshop, inDesign, Premiere Pro, Vyond;Demonstrated knowledge in using platforms such as Murf, Mural, Slido, Kahoot an advantage.Foundational knowledge in AI and Data Analytics: Basic understanding of AI, machine learning, data analysis, and data visualization.Familiarity with common tools (e.g., Microsoft Office software suite such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Power BI).Digital Literacy: Comfortable with digital platforms and virtual learning environments.Ability to quickly learn and use new technologies and software tools.ย Highly creative, innovative, out of the box thinker, problem solver, good communication skills, able to prioritize effectively;Sound people management skills;Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including ability to influence stakeholders and manage complex and/or sensitive interactions;Works well within a team but able to work well independently with minimal supervision; and,Proven ability to produce work accurately and concisely according to set deadlines.
