  1. Assist the Senior Protection Research Associate in supervising and coordinating the work of research volunteers, ensuring that research activities are implemented in line with ethical standards and agreed methodologies.
  2. Support the organization of meetings and communication between camp-based team members and colleagues based in Coxโ€™s Bazar.
  3. Assist in the development of study protocols, including the design of studies and data collection tools.
  4. Support media and open-source monitoring activities, including regular scanning of the national and international political landscape to inform the Protection Research Team.
  5. Provide administrative and logistical support for trainings related to protection research, including for volunteers, partners, IOM staff, and other stakeholders.
  6. Assist in the development of training curricula under the guidance of the Senior Protection Research Associate, including trainings on life skills, accountability, and community engagement.
  7. Support translation processes, including coordinating with volunteers, to ensure that technical materials such as IEC materials, research tools, and other outputs are accurately translated.
  8. Assist in processing administrative, HR, and logistical requests for the Research Team, ensuring compliance with IOM procedures.
  9. Support the preparation of internal reports, correspondence, and other documents as requested.
  10. Perform such other duties as may be assigned. Education, Experience and Skills
    • University degree with minimum two years of relevant professional experience, or School diploma with four years of relevant experience.ย 
    • Knowledge of the region and/or country an advantage.
    • Knowledge of foundational concepts in relation to protection research, including Protection Information Management (PIM) and Protection Analytical Framework (PAF)
    • Experience in emergency operations and experience working with international organizations
    • Strong writing skills, especially in Englis; ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
    • High level of computer literacy (MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Excellent communication skills both oral and written in English and Bengali
    • Strong strategic, analytical and creative thinking skills.
    • Ability to cooperate and coordinate with other units, implementing partners, NGOs and government departments
    • Personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility and drive for results.
    • Demonstrated gender awareness and gender sensitivity.
    • Capacity to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from various professional backgrounds. Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database. ย  Languages
      • Fluency in Bangla and English is required. Knowledge of the local dialect (Chittagonian) would be an advantage.ย  IOMโ€™s official languages are English, French and Spanish.
