    BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:

    This position will be based in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. The project manager will manage the office move of WFP Tanzania CO from the current office to a new office at the UN Common Premises and any upgrade works of the new office and re-instatement of the current office.
    The project manager will be providing technical guidance to WFP for the effective and efficient relocation of office from the current office to UN Common Premises in Dar Es Salaam.
    The project manager will also be required to provide support to WFP in the technical, financial and administrative aspects of the project, fields of work or operations with which the team is involved.
    The role will involve undertaking assessments of works, quality control, and review of contractor's compliance with the design requirements. To provide construction and engineering expertise and contribute to the timely and efficient delivery of quality outputs. In addition, the project manager, will guide identification of key risks and drafting of a mitigation strategy to manage the identified risks.
