IOM Brazil Country Office (CO) works with its partners to support migrants and host communities in Brazil, developing effective responses to the country's migratory dynamics. A priority is to monitor and influence public policies so that governments can manage the forms and impacts of human mobility, as well as developing the resilience of all migrants, especially those in situations of vulnerability.
IOM Brazil CO's objectives are to respond to IOM Global's objectives, such as: (1) Saving lives and protecting people on the move - Supporting Brazil's humanitarian responses; strengthening access to healthcare for migrants and reducing possible public health risks. (2) Boosting solutions to displacement - reducing the impact of climate change and the environment on internal migration; facilitating the socio-economic integration of migrants in vulnerable situations and access to basic rights. (3) Facilitating pathways for regular migration - supporting the voluntary return of migrants to their country of origin; (4) strengthening the fight against human trafficking and migrant smuggling; (5) strengthening the resettlement programmes and humanitarian reception offered by Brazil.
Additionally, IOM Brazil is also responsible for coordinating substantial fundraising and liaison with donors in the private sector. The mission is currently developing funding policies, establishing priorities and procedures, and preparing proposals for programmes and projects in line with the Organizationโs strategic focus and priorities.
Under the overall supervision of IOM Brazil Chief of Mission, direct supervision of Senior Programme Manager and in close coordination with mission Units and Programs, the Project Coordinator will support the development of programs and project proposals, support the management of programs under implementation and lead the development of IOM Brazil private sector outreach plan.ย
- Lead the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of projects promoting migrant socioeconomic integration, with emphasis on youth development, education, digital inclusion, employability and entrepreneurship.
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for private sector engagement, including partnership cultivation with businesses, industry associations and corporate foundations to create migrant employment opportunities.
- Oversee project budgeting processes, including fund verification, approval procedures and financial reporting, while supporting fundraising efforts and donor proposal development.
- Serve as focal point for stakeholder coordination, maintaining liaison with government entities, UN agencies, NGOs, donors and private sector partners to advance project objectives.
- Conduct data analysis and reporting functions, including compiling project information, drafting progress reports, identifying implementation challenges, and recommending corrective actions.
- Design and implement capacity-building initiatives for both project staff and private sector partners regarding migrant integration best practices and employment opportunities.
- Organize and participate in conferences, working groups and training sessions to promote project goals and strengthen collaborative networks.
- Supervise implementing partners, monitor compliance, and provide guidance to junior staff members.
- Develop strategic communication materials including briefing notes, presentations and donor proposals to showcase project impact and secure additional support.

EDUCATION
- High School Diploma with a minimum of seven years of relevant professional experience; or
- University Degree in Political or Social Science, International Relations, Law, or a related field, from an accredited academic institution with a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience; or
- Master's Degree in the abovementioned fields, with a minimum of three years of relevante professional experience. Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience in designing, leading, and managing complex programmes focused on migrant socioeconomic integration, including youth development, education, digital Inclusion, employability, and entrepreneurship.
- Demonstrated success in private sector engagement and income generation, including resource mobilization from corporations, philanthropic foundations, and institutional donors.
- In-depth understanding of the Brazilian context and an established track record in private sector partnership development within Brazil.
- Excellent knowledge of private sector priorities and demonstrated ability to develop strategic, high-value partnerships, with a focus on sustainability and shared impact.
- Strong background in identifying and cultivating new private sector opportunities, including co-creating tailored solutions for income generation and social impact.
- Proven ability to build and maintain long-term strategic partnerships, including across geographies and with diverse sectors, leveraging a deep understanding of stakeholder motivations and alignment.
- Skilled in working cross-functionally across organizational units to develop compelling partnership proposals, secure buy-in, and coordinate implementation.
- Experienced fundraiser with solid knowledge of private sector engagement, philanthropy trends, and the operational modalities of UN agencies.
- Experience in project budgeting, financial oversight, and the development of donor proposals and reports, in compliance with donor requirements and institutional standards.ย SKILLS

- Proven and successful multi-year track record in private sector partnerships and fundraising with strong ability to meet fundraising targets and to negotiate and secure high value partnerships with corporations and foundations.
- Proven ability to reconcile the needs of the Organization with those of the partner.
- Ability to write, draft, and edit reports, acknowledgements, briefings, and donor correspondence when letters, proposals, grants, appeals and ability to explain complex issues to external donors and present the Organization and diverse operations in an appealing and concise manner. ย
- In-depth knowledge of the broad range of migration-related subject areas dealt with by the Organization; and,
