Background:
*Please note that this is a fix-term appointment (LOA) for the Project Assistant, who will be hired as part of an Extra Budgetary Project entitled \"Advancing Media and Information Literacy in Kosovo\". The duration of the contract will be from the date of hire until 31 December 2026, with the possibility of extension of the satisfactory performance.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager (Acting Chief of Media Section, NP2) as a first level supervisor, and to the Deputy Director of the Democratization Department (S4) as a second level supervisor, the successful candidate will be tasked with the following duties:
He/she is required to have contacts with other Mission staff members within and outside the Media Section or outside the area of work to support the organization meetings, co-ordinates activities and exchange information or to locate or prepare information or documentation for the implementation of the ExB Project. Close contact will have to be kept especially with the Department of Administration and Support and Office for Central Coordination. He/she will be required to have contacts with various external organizations to support the implementation of Project activities. External contacts are mainly with representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESTI), as well as local and international MIL experts and relevant local stakeholders, to clarify and discuss project outputs and to make arrangements for implementation of project activities.Assisting in the ExB project implementation, in line with project objective throughout the project cycle, including: meeting relevant interlocutors; designing and implementing action plans and timelines; monitoring budget implementation to ensure compliance with donor requirements and OSCE's policies and procedures; supporting the documentation of the project for monitoring and reporting purposes; advises the Project Manager on Project-related risks, and relevant mitigating measures to be adopted.Assisting in drafting activity reports, technical/outcome reports, progress reports as well as the annual final self-evaluation reports, including by collecting relevant information and data. Contributing to drafting all additional reports the donors might request throughout the project cycle. Contributing to the collation of information and the development of knowledge products, resources and publications related to the project;Supporting the planning and organization of activities and events, including: contributing to the preparation of relevant background material and documentation; identifying participants and supporting their participation; arranging all needed logistical arrangements such as timely procuring accommodation, transportation, translation services, collecting invoices and other supporting documents; contributing to reporting and adequate archiving of all relevant activity documents. Supports follow-up actions as required.Co-ordinating administrative arrangements, including the preparation of terms of reference and selection of consultants, implementing partners and vendors, administrative and logistical arrangements for in-person, online and hybrid events, such as meetings, workshops, conferences, study visits etc.; developing project databases with references and cross references.Supporting the dissemination of project outputs; supports communication-related activities, including communications/outreach strategy, and social media to disseminate information and manages the visibility of the project in line with OSCE Mission in Kosovo and donor requirements.For more detailed information on the structure and work of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, please see: Mission in Kosovo (osce.org)

Remuneration Package:
Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deductions is 1,084.00 Euro/month. Social benefits will include participation in the OSCE group medical insurance scheme and the OSCE Provident Fund.
Appointments are normally made at step 1 of the applicable OSCE salary scale. At the discretion of the appointing authority a higher step may be approved up to a maximum of step 3 subject to specific conditions.

The mandatory retirement age at the OSCE is 65 years for contracted positions at the general service, professional and director level. The Organization shall apply an age limit of 63 years at the time of appointment as the incumbent selected is normally expected to carry out the contractual obligation of two years.
