Summary of Position:
Will oversee all aspects of procuring, receiving, and managing goods and services for the country office, while adhering to all donor and organizational rules and procedures. With the support of the Procurement & Logistics Officer, s/he will ensure the efficient coordination and management of all procurement and logistics for the FHI 360 Burundi office. This position will also be responsible for the development and revision of applicable policies, as well as training country office staff in their use.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Manages the procurement process and inventory of items such as vehicles, medical supplies, office supplies, computer peripherals, software, furniture, publications, equipment and medical consumables
- In close collaboration with relevant technical staff, manages recruitment of consultants
- Works with vendors to ensure maximum value-for-money and reasonable delivery timelines.
- Develops and implements logistics plans, budgets, and procedures. Provides reporting and reconciliation of inventories.
- Verifies invoices for goods and services.
- Act as liaison with finance staff to assure purchase orders are paid as due and accounts are maintained currently.
- Trains staff on procurement and logistic procedures and policies to ensure compliance with donor and organizational rules and regulations. Provide ongoing technical support.
- Supervise Procurement & Logistics Officer, including performance management and professional development.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
- University degree in Business Administration or related field
- Typically requires 5-8 years of procurement and logistics management experience.
- Articulate, professional, and able to communicate in a clear, positive manner with staff and vendors.
- Fluency in Kirundi and French required; knowledge of English
- Non-governmental organization (NGO) experience strongly preferred.

- Typical office environment.
- Ability to spend long hours looking at computer screen and doing repetitive work on a keyboard.
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift/move up to 5 lbs.
