The International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) seeks to recruit a consultant to Support the timely delivery of 4 Milestones related to identifying value chain specific decision support tools, pathways for investment plans and curriculums for climate information systems and climate smart advisories in Mozambique
ILRI works to improve food security and nutrition and reduce poverty in developing countries through research for efficient, safe, and sustainable use of livestock. It is the only one of 15 CGIAR research centers dedicated entirely to animal agriculture research for the developing world. Co-hosted by Kenya and Ethiopia, ILRI has regional or country offices and projects in East, South and Southeast Asia as well as Central, East, Southern and West Africa. www.ilri.org
Scope of Work
The consultant will be expected to carry out the following tasks:
Stakeholder co-ordination and engagement related to value chain identification and decision support tools for crop/livestock specific advisories (10 days) Logistical support including co-ordination on workshop venue, invitations and also workshop content, including co-ordination for knowledge exchange and training events (10 days) Workshop outputs through reports and other knowledge products (10 days) Support in desk-review and stakeholder consultation to assess the state of multistakeholder platforms in relation to dissemination of CIS and CSA (25 days) Support in understanding the data landscape โ extension workflows, needs, gaps and mechanisms of delivery to the last mile (20 days). Support the design of tools for assessment of last mile delivery of CIS, while leading the data collection for the assessment (25 days)Final Products
Identified list of stakeholders and program for workshops, knowledge exchange and training events Report on the identified value chain and decision support tools to provide specific crop/livestock based advisory Report on main insights and recommendations on the state of multistakeholder platforms in relation to delivery of CIS and CSA Report on baseline assessment of the last mile delivery of CIS which includes extension flows, needs and gapsConsultancy Fee: By mutual agreement based on agreed milestones and deliverables.

Essential skills and qualifications
The selected Consultant should possess.
Masterโs in development studies, Agriculture Economics, Rural Development with working knowledge of Remote sensing or geospatial sciences Expertise in Climate Information services and/agro advisories Good knowledge of various stakeholders (public, private sector, implementing agencies) who are relevant for provision and dissemination of CIS and agroadvisories Proven experience or knowledge on models of last mile delivery especially focused on women and youthHow to apply:
