\u00b7 Assist in project coordination between farmers, extension and BioSSA researchers with the assigned cluster.
\u00b7 Assist with layout, planting and management of the trails
\u00b7 Collect plant and soil data from established trials.
\u00b7 Keep proper records of demonstration plots and the recorded data.
\u00b7 Submit weekly report on the demonstration trials to BioSSA scientists.
\u00b7 Arrange field visits to the demonstration trials as directed by BioSSA project Coordinator
\u00b7 Train farmers in proper handling and application of effective bio-input products.
\u00b7 Any other duties that may be assigned by project management.
Requirements
The candidate should have a Diploma in Agriculture with specialization on crops research and management.
Core Competencies
\u00b7 Relevant work experience in agricultural research of at least 3 years.
\u00b7 Good understanding of the maize and beans cropping system in Tanzania.
\u00b7 Ability to work with and maintain a good relationship with famers.
\u00b7 A good Knowledge of farming systems in Siha District
\u00b7 Be a good team player and highly self-motivated.
