Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) enables the WBG to achieve its mission of ending extreme poverty and promote shared prosperity in a sustainable way by delivering ground-breaking information and technologies to its staff working in over 150 locations.

ITS shapes its strategy in response to changing business priorities and demonstrates new technologies to achieve three high-level business outcomes: business enablement, by providing Bank Group units with innovative digital tools and technologies to transform how they deliver value for their clients; empowerment & effectiveness, by ensuring that all Bank Group staff are connected, able to find information, and productive to accelerate the delivery of development solutions globally; and resilience, by equipping the Bank Group to provide risk-based cybersecurity and robust data protection for a global network and a growing cloud platform.

The ITS Enterprise Services unit, provides a wide range of technical services: data centers, system administration, database, middleware, cloud, enterprise monitoring and identity and access management.

Role
Infrastructure Windows Server Administrator, responsible for the operation of enterprise Windows Server infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility for this position is listed below:
โ€ข Manage and maintain enterprise Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022), ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance with organizational standards.โ€ข Deploy Windows servers on-premises and in cloud using the certified images.โ€ข Regular patching of the Windows operating systemsย โ€ข Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directoryย โ€ข Managing NTFS and Share permissions on CIFS Shares.โ€ข Install and monitor various infrastructure tools like CrowdStrike and Splunk.โ€ข Perform Windows OS troubleshooting, configuration, and performance tuning.โ€ข Basic knowledge of Powershell Scripting.โ€ข Maintain awareness of infrastructure security best practices and assist with the PAM (Privileged Access Management) tools to manage server access.โ€ข Managing Windows workloads and related services in Public Cloud (AWS, Azure and OCI)โ€ข Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a SAFe Agile environment to deliver infrastructure services in alignment with business goals.โ€ข Contribute to incidents, problems, and change management processes, including root cause analysis and documentation.โ€ข Maintain detailed and accurate documentation for systems, configurations, and procedures.โ€ข Develop and maintain clear, concise documentation for new and existing procedures to ensure operational consistency and knowledge transfer.โ€ข Contribute to the development and refinement of operational procedures and workflows; participate in continuous improvement initiativesโ€ข Ensure adherence to World Bank Group (WBG) policies, processes, and procedures in all aspects of work.โ€ข Demonstrate ownership and accountability by responding promptly and effectively to client inquiries, requests, and issues; proactively identify and remove roadblocks to successful task execution.โ€ข Participate in teamโ€™s on-call rotation for production support.

Selection Criteria

โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree with 7 years or masterโ€™s degree with 5 years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.โ€ข Windows Administration experience.โ€ข Deploy and Manage Windows servers across the platforms.โ€ข Managing Active Directory users, groups and group policies.โ€ข Experience with Windows Server Administration on VMWare AWS, OCI and Azure Cloud.โ€ข Collaborates within team and across boundaries.โ€ข Experience in security and compliance with Windows servers and related controls.โ€ข Ability and willingness to work, learn and contribute to internationally diverse team environment.
