ย Context
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM) and the direct supervision of the Chief Migration Health Officer (CMHO) and in close coordination withย Migration Health Coordinator, the incumbent carries out liaison and coordination activitiesย between IOM andย national health authorities, especially the Department of Health, and partners fromย UN, private sector, CSOs, among others.ย

The role focuses on facilitating information exchange, contributing to coordination and advocacy activities related to migration health, maintaining awareness of national health policies, trends, and contributing to the alignment IOM health activitiesโincluding those in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM)โwith national health frameworks and standards.
- Carry outย liaison activities withย national health authorities such as Department of Health (DOH), as well as UN agencies and other relevant stakeholders to ย facilitate communication and coordination migration health activities.
- Attendย national health coordination platforms, working groups, and inter-agency meetings and related fora; take notes, compile summaries, and share meeting outcomes withย the Mission, particularly IOMโs Migration Health Unit.
Collect andย monitor information on national health data and trends, as well as national policies, guidelines, frameworks and reforms relevant to IOMโs health activities, ย sharing updates withย the Mission and the Migration Health Unit.
- Draft administrative and coordination inputs for migration health-related documents, under the guidance of the Migration Health Coordinator andย Chief Migration Health Officer.ย
- Contribute to the implementation of IOM activities in the area of health and emergencies by facilitating information flow and following up on agreed actions.
- Support the alignment of project activities with national standards by coordinating information and assisting with related administrative and coordination inputs as required.ย
Provide coordination support to national health networks and secretariats, including helping organize meetings, preparing draft agendas, and documenting discussions.ย
Support the organization and logistical arrangements ofย capacity-building initiatives for health partners, including training,ย conferences, research fora, and other key events.ย
- Provide coordination and administrative assistance to the Chief Migration Health Officer related to the implementation of the Philippines Migration Health Networkย (PMHN) Strategy 2023-2028.
Assist in identifying opportunities for collaboration with national initiatives and relay relevant information to the Migration Health Unit.ย
- Maintaining effective working relationships with partners, donors, and stakeholders, to facilitate coordination and information sharing.ย
Perform other duties as may be assigned. Education
- Masterโs degree in Public Healthย from an accredited academic institution; or,
- Bachelorโs degree in above field from an accredited academic institution with minimum of two years of relevant professional experience.
- Attendance to or completion of any relevant courses on Global Migration, Migration and Health and other migration courses is an advantageAccredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.ย Experience
Experience in coordination, liaison or administrative functions related to migration health or development programmes.
Experience working with DOH/MOH and other line ministries, UN agencies, and partners.ย
Experience drafting meeting summaries or coordination-related documents.Skills

Ability to collect, organize and document information, including meeting notes and coordination materials.Languages
