The Turlock Site Director will oversee programmatic and operational activities in the Turlock office which covers services in Stanislaus County and surrounding counties. The Turlock Site Director represents the IRC in the local community and as part of the California leadership team. In collaboration with local leadership, this position is responsible for leading the direction of the Turlock office, ensuring programmatic and financial compliance, seeking new funding streams, and managing staff across programming. This position requires a dynamic leader who can represent the IRC brand with integrity and passion, while driving fundraising efforts to sustain and grow local programs.

Major Responsibilities:

Fundraising and Brand Representation:

โ€ข The Site Director will actively cultivate relationships with local donors, businesses, and foundations.

โ€ข Collaborate with the IRC California Development Team to implement fundraising strategies.

โ€ข Represent IRC Turlock in public forums to elevate the organization's visibility and mission. This includes leading local fundraising events, identifying new funding opportunities, and contributing to grant writing and reporting efforts.

Leadership:

โ€ข Directly responsible for the programming and outcomes of the Turlock office in alignment with the IRC Strategic goals, IRC California Strategic Goals and Turlock-specific goals.

โ€ข Oversee the Turlock leadership team to ensure best in class client outcomes.

โ€ข Participate in IRC California Leadership activities and meetings.

โ€ข Work with Turlock team and IRC California Leadership to establish the vision for the Turlock office.

โ€ข Other duties may include oversight of other offices on a temporary basis.

Programmatic Oversight:

โ€ข Design, oversee and monitor program performance to achieve excellence in programming at all levels. Work with staff to achieve outcomes.

โ€ข Participate in grant writing and submissions with the IRC California Development Team.

โ€ข Contribute to writing reports to funders or to IRC HQ.

โ€ข Meet with clients regularly and as needed to understand their experiences and address incidents and grievances when they arise.

Human Resources:

โ€ข Oversee Turlock staff, including direct reports and associated programmatic teams across the office.

โ€ข Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance and development of office wide staff, volunteers and interns.

โ€ข Facilitate regular staff meetings, hold team meetings and provide direct supervision meetings.

โ€ข Provide training and oversight on IRC policies and protocols

โ€ข Work with staff and California / IRC HR to resolve issues when there is an identified performance situation

Community Leadership:

โ€ข Maintain and develop strategic relationships with the local community (law enforcement, community and faith-based organizations, social services, etc.)

โ€ข Develop and maintain partnerships in the community with local funders (private foundations, businesses, local donors and public institutions such as county boards, city stakeholders and statewide stakeholders

โ€ข Work with IRC California Leadership to develop and implement IRC Turlock city, county and state advocacy efforts

โ€ข Represent IRC Turlock in Quarterly Consultations and refugee/immigrant serving forums with local stakeholders

โ€ข Engage in local refugee and immigrant-related activities/meetings or designate someone in the office to hold this position

โ€ข Support IRC California Development team with the implementation of local fundraising activities

โ€ข Work with IRC California Leadership and HQ Communications teams on a communications strategy for the office, including engagement with local media

Finance:

โ€ข Develop & implement Turlock office budget in collaboration with Turlock Managers and California Finance team

โ€ข Review monthly Revenue and Expense reports for local office

โ€ข Monitor and manage local programmatic budgets and be directly responsible for decisions regarding expenses to ensure fiscal integrity and fiscal responsibility

โ€ข Responsible for Facilities, IT and Security for local office

โ€ข Other related duties as assigned

Key Working Relationships:

Position Reports to: The California Senior Executive Director

Position directly supervises: Casework Programs Manager, Immigration Programs Manager, County Employment Coordinator, and Micro Enterprise Business Counselor

Other Internal and/or external contacts: Indirectly supervises Operations Specialist. Interfaces with various internal functions from IRC California and IRC HQ. Represents the IRC with local external partners, community organizations, employers, funders, etc.

Job Requirements:

โ€ข 4-year college degree required. Graduate degree in management, international relations or social work preferred

โ€ข 5+ years of program management experience, preferably in Social Services, Non-profit or refugee services sectors.

โ€ข A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience

โ€ข Demonstrated success in funding raising and cultivating donor relationships

โ€ข Knowledge of the Central Valley non-profit environment desirable

โ€ข Demonstrated success working and communicating effectively in a multi-cultural environment

โ€ข Experience in refugee serving/immigrant programming highly preferred

โ€ข Proven ability to contribute both independently and as a key team member

โ€ข Self- starter with excellent problem-solving skills combined with the proven ability to multi-task, prioritize duties, and manage time effectively

โ€ข Fluency in written and spoken English

โ€ข Fluency in additional languages preferred

โ€ข Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); database experience strongly preferred

โ€ข Valid driverโ€™s license, reliable vehicle with current insurance

Working Environment:

โ€ข Occasional travel to other California sites for regional activities

โ€ข Occasional work requirements outside of normal business hours

Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
