The Translator / Interpreter at the Department of Legal Affairs reports to Senior Legal Officer (Administrative Law) . ResponsibilitiesTranslates and reviews translations of Agency replies to the UNRWA Dispute Tribunal (DT) including motion materials, and related documents from Arabic into English and vice-versa for the Department of Legal Affairs. Drafts, as requested by supervisor, materials in English and Arabic related to the administration of justice system. CompetenciesDemonstrated writing and communication skills. Ability to work independently or in a team. Ability to deliver quality service under tight deadlines in a stressful working environment. Ability to exercise a high degree of professional discretion. Well-developed organizational and political awareness. Ability to use computer with proficiency in word processing in English and Arabic.
