In the framework of Project โStrengthening the Capacities of Ukrainian Institutions and Local Organizations to Support a Community-Based and Participatory Approach to Protection and Durable Solutionsโย that is aimedย to contribute toย theย protection of andย progress towardย durable solutions forย war-affected peopleย in Ukraine, IOM Ukraine continues to conduct a series of one-day trainingsย on community-based protection for representatives of social services, initiative groups and community leaders in the projectโs target hromadas.ย
And in the framework of Project โAddressing Trafficking in Persons and Related Risks in the Ukraine Emergency Responseโ that aim toย establishย and strengthen counter-traffickingย activitiesย asย lifesavingย in the context of the currentย humanitarian response toย theย Ukraineย crisisย IOM Ukraine will organize and conduct 17 one-day trainings on countering human trafficking for humanitarian actors and protection workers across the country.ย
The objective of this consultancy is to conduct 10 one-day community-based protection trainingsย according to the provided curriculum and to develop and design the contents of one-day training on countering human trafficking, and to facilitate these 17 trainings during April - July 2026 in different regions of Ukraine.

To facilitate 10 one-day Community โ based protection trainings in Kharkiv and Dnipro regions.
To develop and design the contents of the one-day training (curriculum, handouts, presentation, tasks), and to develop a questionnaire for pre and post training knowledge assessment for humanitarian and protection actors on countering human trafficking.
To facilitate 17 one-day trainingsย on countering human traffickingย in different regions of Ukraine (Kyiv Odesa, Lviv, Dnipro, etc.):
Facilitate group work and provide all relevant expertise in Q&A sessions;
Organize and supervise pre and post training knowledge assessments.
To prepare the trainerโs report for each training which should include:
Analysis of pre and post training knowledge assessment;
Observation on the group engagement, key discussion points and challenges.
Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Contents of the one-day training, presentation and the pre- and post-training knowledge assessment questionnaire for the training on countering human trafficking ย is developed and agreed with IOM.
17 one-day trainings for humanitarian actors and protection workers are conducted and reports submitted to IOM.

The payment of the Consultantโs fees shall be initiated within 10 days after IOMโs receipt and approval of the outputs outlined above.ย
Education, Experience and/or skills required
University Degree in Pedagogy, Psychology, Law or related field, with five years of professional experience in the area of countering trafficking in human beings;ย
Previous experience in developing and conducting counter-trafficking trainings;
Understanding of key concepts of protection and community-based protection;
Previous experience of work with vulnerable population and provision of protection assistance to beneficiaries;
Excellent understanding of human trafficking processes and relevant national legislation;ย
Excellent written and oral communication skills in Ukrainian; knowledge of English will be an asset;
Ability to work independently and as a team member;ย
Self-discipline and the ability to work according to set time limits.ย

Yes, travel to the trainings location within Ukraine is necessary.
