Job Summary:
You willย work with the National Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) Cluster in Port Sudan and humanitarian actors in the Darfur states of Sudan to establish and facilitate the Darfur FSL Cluster,ย harmonizing approaches, building evidence and best practice in country through sharing experiences, contributing to national and global learning. Your advice, knowledge, and supportย will contribute to determining how effective, adaptive, and innovative FSL programming is for all partners and the most vulnerable, across the Darfur States.
Roles and Key Responsibilities:
Support the establishment and oversight of the Darfur FSL Cluster Coordination structure and contribute to the effective running of the cluster as per agreed best practices. Effectively engage with national and international partners, donors,ย and governments. Help ensure a cross-sectoral approach integrating gender, protection mainstreaming, and disaster risk reduction in the Darfur FSL Cluster. Represent the FSL Cluster in Darfur in relevant coordination fora Provide FSL technical solutions to partners remotely and on-site, for strategic planning and coordination, including on how to best apply standards, best practices,ย tools and M&E, helping to ensure high-quality coordination for all agencies in Darfur.ย Contribute to, and in some cases lead needs assessments in the Darfur states for Food Security and Livelihoods.ย Contribute to key reports, documents and processes (eg 5Ws and the Humanitarian Needs Overview (HNO)) Monitor partnersโ work and support the identification of gaps in the Food Security and Livelihoods response and advocate for resources to address them. capacity strengthening initiatives inย Food Security and Livelihoods programming for cluster partners through helping develop learning and training strategies and agendas/curriculums, conducting trainings and workshops, and coaching. Contribute to developing and maintaining relationships with donors, peer organizations, research and other institutions, participate in forums in other relevant fora to collect and share bestย practices and promote the clusterโs work. ยKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of the Sudan context and technical principles and concepts in Food Security and Livelihoods. General knowledge of other related disciplines to ensure a proper cross-sectoral approach. Experience in needs assessment, response planning, and project monitoring, evaluation and analysis. Experience in writing content for proposals. Knowledge of capacity-strengthening best practices. Experience with program monitoring and evaluation and analysis. Strong experience and skills in coordination, networking and relations with donors, peer organizations, and faith-based civil society partners. Understanding of partnership principles. Strong relationship management skills with ability to influence and get buy-in from others, and to work with individuals in diverse geographical and cultural settings Good strategic, analytical, influencing problem-solving and systems thinking skills with capacity to see the big picture and ability to make sound judgment Diplomacy and interpersonal skills Presentation, facilitation, training, mentoring, and coaching skills Proactive, resourceful and results-oriented Proficient in MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Web Conferencing Applications, information and budget management systems, knowledge-sharing networks.Preferred Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
Bachelorsโ Degree in International Development, International Relations or in the field of Food security and livelihood is required. Additional experience may substitute for some education. Minimum of 5-8 years' experience in relevant coordination experience required, with preferably at least 3 years working experience in the area of food security and livelihoods,ย preferably withย an international NGO.ย ย Knowledge of technical principles and concepts in Sudan. General knowledge of other related disciplines to ensure proper cross-sectoral approach. Experience in project design and proposal development. Experience in writing content for proposals. Knowledge of capacity strengthening best practices. Experience with program monitoring and evaluation and analysis.
