Project Summary

Funded by the World Bank under the regional EAGER initiative and implemented by Mozambiqueโ€™s National Youth Institute (INJ), the two year โ€œEu Sou Capazโ€ program will be implemented in 12 districts in southern Mozambique. The program aims to reduce school dropout and early pregnancy among girls by addressing social norms, improving access to education, and enhancing girlsโ€™ empowerment. Key activities include distributing school uniforms, bicycles, and menstrual hygiene kits; providing life skills training in Safe Spaces for out-of-school girls; engaging community leaders and partners through awareness and behavior change campaigns; and supporting identity registration through Citizenship Fairs. The project will manage community-level implementation, including recruiting and managing a network of local mentors and facilitators, coordinating awareness efforts, and ensuring robust monitoring and evaluation.

This position is contingent upon donor funding awarded to FHI 360 and will be based in Mozambique.
