paꢀents through public faciliꢀes and community engagement.
Job Descripꢀon Overview
PIH Lesotho is launching a TB eliminaꢀon project in Mohale's Hoek district at all health faciliꢀes and
communiꢀes, and to support the Ministry of Health in addressing the high burden of TB in Lesotho. The TB
Eliminaꢀon project manager is expected to manage the TB eliminaꢀon projects in Mohale's Hoek and the
rural PIH Lesotho-supported health faciliꢀes.
The Project Manager is responsible for leading strategic planning, coordinaꢀon, and implementaꢀon of
the TB Eliminaꢀon Project in alignment with the overall PIH Lesotho vision. They will oversee operaꢀonal
execuꢀon, ensure compliance with the project requirements, and establish robust systems and processes
to maintain quality and accountability. The successful candidate will play a central role in building an
effecꢀve and collaboraꢀve project team. The TB Eliminaꢀon project manager will be based at Mohale’s
Hoek with a frequent travel to Maseru. The TB Eliminaꢀon Project will run unꢀl December 2029.
Responsibiliꢀes include:
Leadership and Team Development

Manage the overall conduct of the project, including general coordinaꢀon, management, and
supervision of day-to-day project implementaꢀon



Support supervision of project staff.
Foster a posiꢀve, accountable, and high-performing team culture.
Facilitate interdepartmental collaboraꢀon to achieve shared goals
Execuꢀon and Resource Management


Manage and oversee all procurements and commodity requirements for the project
Work in collaboraꢀon with the Transport Officer for the monitoring and maintenance of mobile
clinics and supporꢀng vehicles





Plan and organise logisꢀcs for trips across all project sites under the TB Eliminaꢀon
Idenꢀfy and mobilize addiꢀonal resources, including human, technical, and material resources
required to meet project objecꢀves.
Communicaꢀon and Stakeholder Management



Provide oversight for the management of the mobile trucks in collaboraꢀon with the Transport
Unit
Document and disseminate project meeꢀng notes with all relevant stakeholders, and follow-up
to ensure that acꢀon items are executed ꢀmely
Provide oversight for all Naꢀonal and District stakeholder engagement
Risk, Compliance and Quality Management

Idenꢀfy potenꢀal risks and develop miꢀgaꢀon plans to ensure uninterrupted implementaꢀon of
TB services.


Ensure compliance with PIH policies in the operaꢀons of the project
Oversee the overall quality management aspect of the Project and ensure that all relevant tools
and standards are adhered to for the tenure of the project


Work with the Internal Audit and Compliance team to support project audits
Work with the compliance team and finance team the implementaꢀon of the project
deliverables within ꢀme, budget and scope



Develop and manage the project budget, ensuring alignment with approved acꢀviꢀes and
project guidelines during implementaꢀon.
Laise with the Grants team in tracking of project expenditures and ensuring compliance with
financial policies and procedures.
Lead the narraꢀve and financial report according to the project reporꢀng ꢀmelines.
Monitoring and Reporꢀng


Aꢁend Project review meeꢀngs and provide regular updates on project progress, performance,
financial management and other issues
Conduct regular meeꢀngs with the project team and provide ꢀmely support to the frontline
health workers


Assist PIH leadership to ensure that all deliverable requirements are met and ꢀmelines followed.
Coordinate with PIH Lesotho and PIH Boston Finance and compliance teams to ensure that
record keeping is accurate and financial reports are correct, complete and ꢀmely submiꢁed and
ensure compliance of the award terms and condiꢀons.


Aꢁend all project related meeꢀngs and proved all current update on the project status.
Oversee implementaꢀon of the project acꢀviꢀes and monitor progress against the approved
work plan


Document success stories, challenges, and lessons learned, in collaboraꢀon with the Strategic
Informaꢀon, Clinical and Communicaꢀon departments
Develop monthly, quarterly and annual project reports to the PIH Lesotho leadership and
coordinaꢀon sites.




Qualificaꢀons and Experience


Master of public health (MPH) Or other health related fields
Ability to work independently and effecꢀvely in high-impact, fast-paced environments and
handle mulꢀple requests simultaneously



High levels of proficiency in Microsoꢂ Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
At least 5 years managing projects valued cumulaꢀvely at $5 million
Experience implemenꢀng health related projects at naꢀonal and district-levels with internaꢀonal
