Your team
Within the Directorate of People, the Workforce Planning & Talent Acquisition Unit manages workforce planning, organisational design, job design, and talent acquisition. The team oversees the full talent acquisition process (excluding MUAC-related recruitment), ensuring that strategies attract, select, and retain top talent. By aligning workforce planning with the Agencyโs strategic objectives, the Unit contributes to sustainable growth and organisational effectiveness.
Your role
Your role will be to:
- Provide expert advice to hiring managers and selection panels on recruitment best practices, including the application, interpretation, and use of psychometric assessments, structured interviews, and other selection tools to ensure fair, objective, and evidence-based hiring decisions.
Required qualifications, experience & competencies
Candidates must fulfil one of the following requirements: Completion of third level studies in a relevant domain (e.g. HR, Psychology, Business Administration), meeting EQF Level 7, and a minimum of 5 yearsโ professional experience in talent acquisition within a Human Resources department, with responsibility for recruiting employees directly for the organisation. Completion of third level studies in a relevant domain (e.g. HR, Psychology, Business Administration), meeting EQF Level 6, and a minimum of 6 yearsโ professional experience in talent acquisition within a Human Resources department, with responsibility for recruiting employees directly for the organisation.Refer to the European Qualifications Framework (EQF). Internal candidates can check on the intranet to see what level of in-house experience is considered equivalent to educational qualifications where appropriate. Experience in recruitment and selection methods, including demonstrated experience in structured interviews, evaluation methods, psychometric assessments (including interpretation), and full-cycle recruitment processes. Experience in managing individuals (e.g. setting objectives, providing guidance, feedback, and evaluating performance). Experience using social platforms, online recruitment tools, and professional networks to source candidates. Experience gained within an international or intergovernmental organisation will be considered an asset. Knowledge of current industry trends in talent acquisition/recruitment, including labour market understanding and a commitment to staying up to date. Experience in writing appealing vacancy notices/job postings. The following would be considered strong assets: Experience in job design, including job analysis and evaluation (distinct from writing job postings). Experience in organisational design. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in talent acquisition. Experience in job design is desirable but not required, as formal training will be provided to enable the full performance of the role. The working languages of the Agency are English and French. For this particular job, candidates must be proficient users of English at level C1. The selected candidate will be required to become a basic user of French at level A1 before the end of the probation period. The levels relate to the European-framework-reference Common European Framework of References for languages (CEFR).
