Mission and objectivesThe United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) supports the coordination of the humanitarian activities working in collaboration with government authorities, NGOs, international organizations, UN agencies and other partners to promote international standards and best practices aiming to improve the quality of the humanitarian actions in benefit to population in need. OCHA five core functions are: Coordination, Information, Advocacy, Policy and Financing.
ContextOCHA will be gathering testimonies of Haitian people and will be used for advocacy to increase support for humanitarian assistance in the country.
Task DescriptionOnline Volunteers will provide transcription and translation of interviews recorded in Haiti, from Haitian Creole into English. Around 10 interviews are expected, to be divided among the volunteers. Recordings will be shared to complete the task.
