Mission and objectivesThe United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) makes public and private finance work for the poor in the worldโs 46 least developed countries. With its capital mandate and instruments, UNCDF offers โlast mileโ financing models that unlock public and private resources, especially at the domestic level, to reduce poverty and support local economic development. In Eastern Caribbean region, The UNCDF is implementing a new global initiative entitled \"Leveraging digital finance to increase resilience of African, Caribbean and Pacific Countries\" which has been signed by the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS), funded by the European Union. Countries eligible for services of this programme selected by the OACPS include countries across the Pacific Islands, Sub-Saharan Africa region and Caribbean region. Aligning with the guiding principles and objectives of UNCDFโs Strategic Framework, the programme aims to offer a range of activities to stakeholders to achieve national digital financial inclusion goals. This includes opportunities for technical assistance, capacity building and training, peer-to-peer exchange events and deployment of grants to enhance the availability of digitally inclusive financial services in the market.
ContextThe UNCDF Caribbean Office is seeking a skilled Graphic Designer to support the development and layout of end-of-assignment reports for its financial inclusion initiatives across the Eastern Caribbean. These reports will provide a visual and narrative overview of the outcomes and impact achieved through UNCDFโs work under the Digital Financial Services for Resilience (DFS4Res) project. The Graphic Designer will play a key role in ensuring the reports are professionally formatted, visually compelling, and accessible to a range of audiences, including government partners, donors, and regional stakeholders. Well-designed reports are critical to enhancing the visibility of UNCDFโs work and demonstrating the transformative potential of digital financial solutions in advancing financial inclusion and resilience in small island developing states. This role also offers an opportunity to contribute to the documentation of UNCDFโs partnerships, innovations, and lessons learned from the DFS4Res programmes in the Caribbean contextโsupporting the broader SDG agenda through inclusive finance.
Task DescriptionWe are looking for one Online Volunteer to support the UNCDF Caribbean Office in the graphic design and layout of end-of-assignment reports that highlight the outcomes and impact of financial inclusion initiatives delivered under the Digital Financial Services for Resilience (DFS4Res) project in the Eastern Caribbean. Under the guidance of the UNCDF Caribbean Programme Officer and Communication Specialist, the Online Volunteer will support the production of professionally formatted, visually compelling reports that communicate the achievements of UNCDFโs work to government stakeholders, donors, and regional partners. The reports will cover activities implemented in selected Eastern Caribbean countries and will include design elements such as cover pages, data visualizations, infographics, and layout formatting. All work will align with UNCDFโs corporate branding and communication guidelines. The Online Volunteer will be provided with draft report content, approved images, logos, and brand assets. This assignment offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to UNCDFโs visibility efforts while gaining practical experience in how graphic design can enhance development communication, storytelling, and impact reporting for financial inclusion and the SDGs
