Contribute to defining functional requirements and user stories for components/sub work packages of the simulation platform including their specification and documentation. Support the definition and execution of the functional acceptance and quality process of deliveries from suppliers. Assist the program manager in coordinating and monitoring the program (e.g. with reporting, risk register updates, tracking progress, etc.). Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. software providers, program manager, architects, etc.) to gather user/stakeholders needs for development, track progress and updates. Participate in outsourcing contract management with software suppliers, ensuring alignment with the project's needs. Assist in performing studies on the evolution of air traffic simulation facilities using the latest technological solutions (i.e. hybrid cloud concepts, machine learning, open-source software approach, data mining techniques, etc.). Carry out any other task in line with the main purpose of the job.

Required qualifications, experience & competencies

Post secondary education and/or secondary education giving access to post-secondary education, and relevant professional experience of at least 3 years. A masterโ€™s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Sciences, etc.) would be considered an asset. Internal candidates should check on the intranet to see what level of in-house experience is considered equivalent to educational qualifications where appropriate. Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience. Experience with the application of Agile software development methodologies and tools (Jira) in large-scale software systems (e.g. web or cloud-based computing, open source, UX design, etc.). Experience in managing an Agile team, managing product backlog and associated tools (Jira/Confluence). Experience or Knowledge in outsourcing contract management with software suppliers. Knowledge of mission critical systems, in particular Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems, simulators, training systems would be an asset. Knowledge in one or several of the following area(s) would be an asset: Knowledge in software development and/or software architecture in cloud applications. Knowledge on Azure Cloud, Kubernetes. Ability to review source code in Java would be an asset. Technical drafting skills (English). Analytical thinking: you analyse information and you are able to identify relationships. Planning and organising: you know how to plan and adapt as required. Teamwork: you foster teamwork. Result focus: you strive to meet work expectations. Communication: you are able to foster two-way communication. Ability to work in a multinational and multicultural environment. Professional conduct in line with the corporate behaviours of the Agency, i.e. result-driven, readiness to change, customer focus, integrity and team-player approach. The working languages of the Agency are English and French. For this particular job, candidates must be proficient users of English at level C1. The selected candidate will be required to become basic user of French at level A1 before the end of the probation period.
The levels relate to the Common European Framework of References for languages (CEFR).

The internal staff member with a determined contract will be offered, in principle, an appointment for 4 Year(s). The contract will end no later than 31 December 2029. However, this contract may under certain budgetary conditions be renewed for a total duration of up to nine (9) years, or it may be converted into an undetermined contract The successful candidate shall be appointed at the grade set out in this vacancy notice, or if a group of grades has been published for a job level, in principle at the basic grade of the published job level.
