Work LocationManila Expected durationOctober to December 2025 Duties and ResponsibilitiesObjectives The consultancy seeks to enhance the reach, visibility, followers, subscribers, and impact of the United Nations in the Philippines through effective digital engagementโ€”particularly with youth and underrepresented groupsโ€”by developing and implementing a social media strategy, producing localized multimedia content, and building internal capacity for continuity and sustainability. Qualifications/special skillsโ€ข University degree in communication or related field. โ€ข Additional coursework or certifications in social media, digital marketing, or related fields are an asset. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in social media, public information, public relations, or a related area is required. Proven experience managing and executing digital campaigns across Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), TikTok, and YouTube is essential. Experience in acquiring, analyzing, and reporting on social media data using analytics tools (e.g., Meta Insights, Twitter Analytics, Google Analytics) is required. Familiarity with content creation and publishing tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, or comparable software is desirable. Demonstrated ability to create multimedia content (graphics, videos, reels, motion design) in English and Tagalog is desirable. Languagesโ€ข Fluency in English and Tagalog is required. โ€ข Knowledge of another official UN language is an advantage. Additional InformationScope of Work and Deliverables โ€ข The consultant will report to the Head of RCO and the Director of UNIC Jakarta. โ€ข Weekly coordination calls or written progress reports are expected. โ€ข The consultant will collaborate closely with the UN Communications Group in the Philippines and liaise with agencies providing content and messaging direction. โ€ข All materials produced must adhere to the UN branding, accessibility, and ethical communication standards. Under the direct supervision of the Director of UNIC Jakarta and in coordination with UNIC Manila, the consultant will: 1. Conduct a review of current social media platforms, content strategy, audience engagement, and performance metrics. 2. Identify opportunities to expand reach and engagement, with a focus on youth and underrepresented communities in the Philippines. 3. Develop a comprehensive and actionable social media strategy tailored to the Philippine context that can increase reach and followers, which includes: o Content formats and messaging directions for key platforms. o Platform-specific tactics based on trends and audience behaviour. o A directory of potential collaborators including: ๏‚ง Philippine government bodies and institutions ๏‚ง Relevant private sector entities ๏‚ง Ministers and public figures ๏‚ง Media outlets and influencer accounts 4. Produce and deliver at least four (4) campaign/content packages per month (October-December), each consisting of localized, audience-relevant posts and visual materials using raw materials from UN agencies and headquarters. 5. Create ready-to-use templates, caption guidelines, visual checklists, and standard operating workflows for efficient and consistent content production. 6. Propose key performance indicators (KPIs) and a monitoring framework to evaluate campaign impact, using both manual and platform-based analytics tools. 7. Coach and tutor UNIC team throughout the exercise, including through weekly team meetings and one-on-one engagement with staff.
