BACKGROUND:

In the U.S., IRC programs are designed to help refugees thrive, from enrolling children in school and helping adults find employment or start businesses, to facilitating access to health and mental health services. IRC Kansas has supported refugees and other newcomers with trauma-informed family services, economic empowerment programs, education for youth and adults, and immigration legal services. SCOPE OF WORK:

The Site Manager is responsible for oversight and supervision of direct service programs, in the Kansas City, Kansas Office. Programs in which the Site manager is responsible for include Economic Empowerment, Education and Cash and Medical Benefit Assistance. The Site Manager will also support a wide variety of office management and administrative responsibilities. This role will represent IRC and engage regularly with external audiences to increase awareness, generate support, and raise visibility of IRCโ€™s work and client needs.

Major Responsibilities

The Site Manager works in close coordination with the Wichita Office Executive Director to achieve the following goals:

Compliance & Administration

Ensure all programs fulfill funder and agency requirements for documentation, case files, data tracking and other areas of administrative compliance. Monitor progress towards programmatic performance requirements and encourage the workforce development team towards these goals. This includes program implementation, oversight, monitoring, and evaluation for all grants in the portfolio. Produce high-quality program reports on time. This includes completing or overseeing staff completion of various reports to IRC headquarters and funders. Represent office and assigned programs and guide the implementation of program initiatives.

Provide leadership, development support and supervision to direct service staff by leading team meetings; providing individual supervision, coaching and goal setting; managing workload and prioritizing tasks; and helping staff troubleshoot challenges. Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and protocols of the agency. Work with the team to provide comprehensive strength-based services to IRC clients through coordination of cases and effective communication between team members and departments. Maintain open and ongoing communication with the Executive Director, Finance leadership, and other key positions. Other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education:

An undergraduate degree required; preferably in Social Work, Human Services or a related field of study.

Work Experience:

Experience in successfully implementing refugee resettlement, immigrant services, human trafficking programs, and/or similar programming serving vulnerable populations. Minimum of five (5) years of professional work experience with progressive levels of responsibility, including supervisory and program management experience.

Demonstrated Skills & Competencies:

Demonstrated ability to promote an organizational culture that reflects IRCโ€™s core values of service, accountability, integrity, and equality. The ability to lead in a way that recognizes that IRCโ€™s work is best accomplished through the true collaboration of individuals from many cultures with a great variety of skills and perspectives. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal; fluent English required. Solid organizational and project management skills to promote productivity and efficiency. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Proven leadership and team-building skills, Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a multi-cultural environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet research.

Working Environment:

A combination of standard office environment, remote work, and โ€˜fieldโ€™ time within the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities. May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.

Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
