Result of Service- Congress communication concept, ensuring consistent visual identity and messaging across all promotional materials and platforms, implemented; - High-quality multimedia and visual content designed and produced to promote the 15th UN Crime Congress, including digital banners, infographics, videos, and branded templates; - Produce and edit video content to showcase key messages, high-level speakers, thematic priorities, and behind-the-scenes Congress preparations; multimedia products in Arabic, such as subtitled videos, social media posts, and promotional materials produced, ensuring cultural and linguistic relevance; - Crime Congress website maintained and updated, ensured that all content is accurate, up to date, and aligned with the Congress communication strategy; relevant materials, announcements, and multimedia products uploaded in a timely manner; - Content for social media campaigns creaed, including static graphics, carousels, short videos, and reels, in alignment with the Congress communication calendar; - Liaised closely with working-level counterparts in the Advocacy Section and UNIS Vienna to coordinate visibility and media outreach for the Congress, coherent messaging across platforms ensured; - Coordinated the production and posting of content on the social media accounts managed by the Secretariat, manage Social Media planner; - Communication products designed such as flyers, brochures, roll-up banners, and media kits for stakeholder engagement, regional preparatory meetings, and side events; - Digital asset library specific to the Congress designed and maintained, including editable files, material, templates, and footage; - Supported promotional activities related CCPCJ, particularly when linked to Congress visibility and communication goals; - Tasks undertaken in support of the CND and CCPCJ more broadly, as required by the Secretariat. Work Locationhome-based with activities at the UNODC HQ in Vienna Expected duration04.08.2025 - 31.03.2026 Duties and ResponsibilitiesWithin the delegated authority and under the supervision of and in close consultation with staff in the Secretariat to the Governing Bodies working on substantive and communication matters, the consultant will: - Implement the Congress communication concept, ensuring consistent visual identity and messaging across all promotional materials and platforms; - Design and produce high-quality multimedia and visual content to promote the 15th UN Crime Congress, including digital banners, infographics, videos, and branded templates. Produce and edit video content to showcase key messages, high-level speakers, thematic priorities, and behind-the-scenes Congress preparations; - Develop multimedia products in Arabic, such as subtitled videos, social media posts, and promotional materials, ensuring cultural and linguistic relevance; - Maintain and update the Crime Congress website, ensuring that all content is accurate, up to date, and aligned with the Congress communication strategy; upload relevant materials, announcements, and multimedia products in a timely manner; - Create content for social media campaigns, including static graphics, carousels, short videos, and reels, in alignment with the Congress communication calendar; - Liaise closely with working-level counterparts in the Advocacy Section and UNIS Vienna to coordinate visibility and media outreach for the Congress, ensuring coherent messaging across platforms; - Coordinate the production and posting of content on the social media accounts managed by the Secretariat, manage Social Media planner; - Design communication products such as flyers, brochures, roll-up banners, and media kits for stakeholder engagement, regional preparatory meetings, and side events; - Maintain and organize a digital asset library specific to the Congress, including editable files, material, templates, and footage; - Support promotional activities related CCPCJ, particularly when linked to Congress visibility and communication goals; - Undertake tasks in support of the CND and CCPCJ more broadly, as required by the Secretariat. Qualifications/special skillsEducation: Advanced University degree (Masterโ€™s degree or equivalent) in communications, graphic or digital design, public relations, development studies, or social sciences is required; first-level university degree in similar fields in combination with an additional 2 years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Work Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in managing or supporting work related to communications, training, media engagement, marketing and sales and/or public information/relations is required; Strong communication skills in a multicultural context, including ability to correctly interpret messages and adequately reflect input in written texts are required; Solid professional experience in the production of related products such as audio, videos, photos and graphics is required; Experience within the UN system or similar international organizations is desirable; Good interpersonal skills and a high degree of independent judgment and initiative are/is desirable; Excellent team working skills are required. LanguagesEnglish and French are the working languages of the UN Secretariat. For this position, fluency in English (oral and written) is required; Knowledge of other official UN languages is an advantage. Additional InformationNot available.
