ย Context Under the direct supervision of the National Project Officer, the incumbent will support the implementation and further development of the harmonization portfolio under the Labour Mobility and Social Inclusion Unit of IOM Turkiye, and will be responsible for supporting and coordinating the achievement of the objectives and results of the projects as well as successful day to day implementation of the activities under EU funded project โPromoting Sustainable and Socially Inclusive Labour Market Integrationโ. Turkiye hosts the largest refugee population in the world, with several million foreign nationals living in the country, including approximately 2,5 million Syrians under Temporary Protection (SuTPs) and around 300,000 Persons under International Protection (PuIPs). Given the considerable size and diversity of the migrant and refugee population, providing means for their social and economic integration is a very challenging process for both national and local authorities. In response to the challenges, the โPromoting Sustainable and Socially Inclusive Labour Market Integrationโ project aims to increase formal employment of SuTPs, PuIPs and host community members and strengthen the harmonization process in Tรผrkiye.

Draft correspondence on project issues; prepare and update reports, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, and other forms ofย documentation. Respond to complex information requests and inquiries; set up and maintainย files/records. Participate in meetings and conferences; maintain effective liaison and coordination with local authorities, partners, United Nation agencies, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, donors and other stakeholders relevant to theย project. Monitor work of implementing partners and report any non-compliance to theย supervisor. Provide inputs for the development of Standard Operations Procedures (SOP) and concept papers and provide general support for the development of newย projects. High school diploma with at least six years of relevant professional experience; or, Bachelorโs degree in Sociology, Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, DevelopmentStudies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academicinstitution, with at least four years of relevant professional experience. Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations; Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups; and, Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting. Preferred experience in grant programming and working with Implementing Partners and project management. In depth knowledge of the broad range of migration related subject especially social cohesion areas. Minimum 2 (two) years of experience in social cohesion related areas and/or working with NGOs. Experience in organizing and implementing of the trainings and capacity development programs in NGOs and social cohesion field studies/researches are advantage.
