Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission and the direct supervision of theย Operations Coordinator of Transition and Recovery Unit, the Senior Project Associate will provide specialized support to the implementation of IOM Ukraineโ€™s community participation and social cohesion projects, focused on field coordination.ย 

  1. Support the Operations Coordinator in the overall planning, implementation and monitoring of project efforts, and contribute to the coordination of IOMโ€™s Community Participation and Cohesion Programme, including offering improvements to the planning and delivery of programme activities.ย 
  2. Liaise with partner NGOs as well as with relevant national and local working-level government contacts, as necessary.
  3. Support the mapping of community cohesion and participation needs and beneficiaries.
  4. Provide information gathering and work together with in-house monitoring and evaluation team to devise and implement a monitoring system for community cohesion and participation efforts.
  5. Contribute to the contracting of partner NGOs and the procurement of goods and services, including visibility items.
  6. Contribute to regular reporting, communications, correspondence, publication and presentation materials, in English and Ukrainian, to support vulnerable populations.
  7. Track relevant national development pertaining to development of planning documents, community cohesion and participation, and analyse, summarize and present findings.
  8. Organize, coordinate the logistics, and take part in related activities and events (meetings, presentations, discussions, visits, etc.).
  9. Undertake duty travel within Ukraine to areas selected for the unitโ€™s programming, on an as-needed basis.
