  1. Support the implementation of activities of the โ€œIntegrated and Scalable Approach to the Mixed Migration Flows by the Borders of Tรผrkiye Projectโ€ under direct coordination of the Senior Programme Coordinator (IBG) and National Programme Officer, as well as other assigned projects/project components under the responsibility of IBG Unit.ย 
  2. Provide the required assistance to the IBG Unit in managing the projectโ€™s day-to-day activities and administrative processes, report regularly on the challenges and progress in the implementation of activities.ย 
  3. Coordinate all logistical and administrative arrangements of project activities such as conferences, trainings, workshops, study/field visits, etc.
  4. Actively participate and contribute to project activities (conferences, trainings, workshops, study/field visits) through moderating events, preparing and delivering presentations, responding to questions of the participants, etc.ย 
  5. Provide support in the monitoring of project budget; assist in amending the project budget if necessary.ย 
  6. Support research and assessment work and contribute to the identification of strategic, programmatic and project-specific funding opportunities.ย 
  7. Draft various project-related correspondence (programs of activities; list of participants; invitation letters etc.).
  8. Provide inputs to Terms of References and contract documentation for consultants working in the project, in coordination with the supervising officer.ย 
  9. Coordinate and contribute to the editing and preparation situation/activities, donor/project updates, info sheets, publications, press-releases, presentations and other information materials, including analysis of statistical information, in collaboration with relevant officials at IOM Tรผrkiye, project partners and other IOM missions involved.
  10. Draft minutes of the meetings whether internal or external and follow up on actions.
  11. Liaise with national authorities, national counterparts, civil society, international organizations, act as focal point for project activities and communication with beneficiaries and other stakeholders.
  12. Assist in M&E of project activities.
  13. Lead and moderate project-related meetings, both internal and external, with government, non-governmental, and UN counterparts; preparing meeting reports, brief notes, and contribute to drafting relevant inputs.
  14. Regularly research, follow-up, compile, analyze, and share information/data on national, regional, and international developments, reports, legislation, and other relevant documentation on migration relevant to the work of IOM Tรผrkiye, highlighting noteworthy issues and proposing relevant actions, especially in the field of integration,
  15. Carry out informal translation of daily correspondences and project-related documents and reports, if requested by the supervisor.
  16. Perform other duties as may be assigned. Education
    • High school diploma with seven years of relevant professional experience; or,
    • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with five years of relevant professional experience.

      • Proven knowledge of integration and relevant national/international policies is an asset,
      • Proven experience supporting project implementation, particularly on migration-related matters and project administration.
      • Training in project development and management is an asset.
      • Willingness and ability to travel, as required.
      • Good familiarity with diplomatic environment.
      • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities and national / international institutions.
      • Experience in drafting papers, briefings, and articles. Languages
        • English and Turkish IOMโ€™s official languages are English, French and Spanish.
