This position will fall under the overall supervision of the UK Head of Programmes and direct supervision of the National Resettlement and Complementary Pathways Officer.
Under the overall supervision of the UK Head of Programmes and direct supervision of the National Resettlement and Complementary Pathways Officer, the incumbent willย have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Coordinate IOMโs Movementย Operations activitiesย in the UK resettlement programmes, including case registration, health assessments, visa facilitation, movement management, arrivals planning, airport operations and staff travel.ย Support theย planning and implementation of the UK Resettlement programmes activities and inย complying with donorย reportingย requirements and IOM standards. ย
- Supervise and coordinate the work of UKย Movementย Operations team, supporting staff development processes such as hiring, providing training, assigning duties andย providing regular performance feedback to staff members to help ensure completion of activities.ย Collaborate with operations staff to plan, coordinate andย optimiseย workflows and timelines, providing updates to theย supervisor and IOM UK management through data, reports and sharingย ofย best practices.ย
- Demonstrate knowledge of applicable SOPs, related systems and databases, and IOM Standards of Conduct. Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all relevant paperwork in line with SOPs, Standards of Conduct, and relevant data protection rules.
- Coordinate with theย programme management to implement updates in programme delivery and assist in communicating necessary changes to relevant country offices. Monitor programme delivery through continuous engagement withย IOM UK units,ย country offices, Headquarters, and UK stakeholders.
- Support the facilitation of training and induction for IOM staff in Country Offices UK resettlement programme requirements, with particular focus on arrival procedures (ABNs, bookings, assigning escorts, medical cases, vulnerable cases, and unaccompanied minors). Ensure staff can use tools such as MiMOSA and reporting systems for arrival-related tasks.
- Maintain and update the IOM UK Operations Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the UK resettlement chapter of the Movement Management Manual (MMM), in collaboration with the Compliance lead.ย
- Maintain and check operational data logs, including incident reports and safeguarding reports, in coordination with the supervisor and reporting/compliance leads to support data accuracy and clarity.ย
- Work with the global ICT team to support updates to movement applications such as MiMOSA and UK resettlement systems, based on the programme updates. Support the preparation of reports to meet UK donor requirements.ย
- Liaise with UK Government Departments (UKG), UNHCR, providing input on programme activities and contributing to written and oral briefings, while supporting operational and monitoring tasks. ย
- Apply RMM Protection Mainstreaming Minimum Standards while carrying out all duties and responsibilities and demonstrate the ability to remain professional, impartial and unbiased during all interactions with migrants and colleagues per the IOM Standards of Conduct and instruction on the prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA).ย Alert the supervisor or management of any issues of non-compliance to SOPs, RMM Protection Mainstreaming Minimum Standards or IOM Standards of Conduct by IOM personnel or partners.
- Undertake duty travel as needed to participate in meetings, trainings and other programme activities, supporting their planning and facilitation.

- Familiarity with UK resettlement schemes.
- Prior experience in Movement Operations, and expertise in relocation or resettlement programmes is essential.
- Experience of working refugee/migrant sector organisations and experience of liaison with governmental/international bodies and private sector entities preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in IOM-RMM proprietary tools and systems and experience with handling complex cases and workflow in movement management is an advantage.
- Experience with supervising multiple teams and experience in management roles is essential.
