Under the direct supervision of the National MEAL Officer and in close coordination with Unit Heads, regional MEAL focal points, and Headquarters, the incumbent will leads the design, implementation, and monitoring of all MEAL components for IOMโs humanitarian and peace portfolio in Cameroon, including extensions to Equatorial Guinea and Sรฃo Tomรฉ and Prรญncipe.
The position is strictly dedicated to humanitarian response and peacebuilding, supporting crisis-affected populations to recover, build resilience, and foster peaceful, inclusive societies. The role ensures that MEAL activities are aligned with the Director Generalโs Strategic Framework, the humanitarian reset, and the durable solutions agenda, with a strong emphasis on accountability, innovation, and sustainability. The Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) and the Information Counseling and Referral System are key tools for evidence-based planning, monitoring and fundraising.ย
- In close coordination with the national MEAL officer, Support with implementing the humanitarian and peace projectsย (including DTM and ICRS) MEAL activities to ensureย program quality and follow up with Operating teams to meet objectives mainly related to M&E Plan per project.
- Liaise with sector focal points on a regular basis to keep track ofย project implementation and monitoring activities to beย conducted.
- Prepare beneficiary sample lists and tools for monitoring and conduct monitoringย activities.
- Support in data cleaning, analysis and drafting of M&Eย reports through the establishment,ย maintenance, and quality control of a centralized research and data management system, facilitating access, archiving, and use by all staff, and ensuring reliability and accessibility of evidence for improved coordination, data-driven decision-making, and reporting.
- Liaise with concerned program focal points on M&E findings, recommendations, issues from CFM to support Operations take appropriate actions to resolve the issues or recommendations.
EDUCATION
University degree inย Social Science, Emergency or Development Managementย orย Planning,ย Statistics,ย orย aย relatedย fieldย fromย anย accredited academic institution with five years of relevant professional experience; or Completed High School degree in above field with seven years of relevant experience.EXPERIENCE
