Context
Under the overall supervision of the Regional Crisis Coordinator in Amman, the direct supervision of the Media and Communications Officer, and, in collaboration with relevant units, the Senior Data Visualization Associate will support the planning, coordination, implementation of design-related tasks.
Support the programme in the planning, coordination, implementation of communication and visualization materials, including audio-visualย products.
Apply user-friendly formats, layout and visual standards to publications, reports and information products in line with IOM branding, visual, and graphic guidelines.
Translate data into graphic elements, includingย infographics and visual summaries.
Format and visually adapt information and communicationย materials based on inputs provided by programme and reporting teams.
Prepare storytelling material, including social media graphics, videos and animations for external purposes, following IOM brandingย guidelines.
Prepare interactive products and maps, including videoย animations, based on programme needs and available data.
Prepare presentations, slides, visual narratives in accordance with programmeย requirements.
Perform required data analysis for visualization and reporting purposes and update outputs basedย on requests from the reporting team.
Gather and research information to support the preparation ofย communication and visualization content.

High school diploma with six years of relevant experience;ย or,Bachelorโs degree in visual arts and design or any relevant field or relatedย fields from an accredited academic institution with four years of relevant professional experience.Accredited Universities are those listed in theย UNESCO World Higher Education Database.ย Experience
Experience in various aspects of graphic and visual production, including infographics andย data visualization.
Proven experience in digitalย visual communication products.
Proven experience in graphic production from start to published/printed product, including familiarity with printing processes and colorย management.
Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is anย advantage.Skills
Proven skills and experience using design and audio-visual software, such as Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe AfterEffects and other graphic design and videoย software.
