    Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship

  • Support the production of audience-centric digital content:

    - Draft/edit news releases, op-eds, and other media materials.

    - Write articles, Q&As, and project stories for earned media coverage.

    - Produce video and multimedia assets.

    - Provide editorial support as needed for the President Support Team function in other media activities (e.g., preparing talking points).

    - Provide editorial support as needed to create content for managing crisis and reputational risks (e.g., draft news releases, reactive messaging).

  • Provide content support for DOCK-led meetings such as the Annual Meeting and high-level HQ-based events.

Provide editorial support for the review, editing, and/or writing for adb.org webpages, DevAsia, and the ADB Blog.

Assist editorial management of the ADB Blog and DevAsia, including coordinating and/or soliciting contributions, design and layout, and publishing.

Support the production of DOCK-led publications such as the ADB Annual Report and Member Factsheets.

Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, day-to-day management, and performance reviews of divisionally relevant consultants/contractors/service providers.

Perform other related tasks that may be assigned by the supervising Technical International Staff, as reflected in the workplan.

Qualifications

You will need:

Bachelor's degree in Communication Arts, Journalism or Broadcast Journalism, Visual Arts, Video Production, Multimedia Arts or the equivalent, preferably with Master's degree or equivalent Additional certification, training and/or education in video production highly desirable; preferably with advanced training

At least 8 years of relevant work experience and at least 4 years of supervisory experience

Strong writing and editing skills.

Expertise in major aspects of multimedia production, including story definition, planning, producing, and post-production. Video editing experience and/or experience in operating a video/photo camera is highly desirable

High degree of creativity demonstrated in multimedia production

Social media and digital content/multimedia production experience will be an advantage

Experience with website content management systems, infographics software, and digital marketing services

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; able to handle numerous responsibilities and clients simultaneously

Good knowledge of development and communication issues in the Asia-Pacific context and familiarity with brand positioning for international organizations

Additional Information

This appointment is open to internal and external applicants.

This is a fixed-term appointment for an initial fixed period of 3 years. At the end of the initial period, this appointment may, at the option of ADB, be extended once for up to 2 years, converted to a regular appointment, or ended on its expiration date. This decision will be made in the overall interest of ADB that: (a) it will require Staff's particular blend of skills and experience in the foreseeable future; and (b) Staff's performance is satisfactory and they are suitable for further employment.
