5 Steps to get a job in the United Nations

Mission and objectivesTo make this campaign a success, we are also seeking passionate and skilled tech volunteers who can lend their expertise to support various aspects of our program. Whether you are a software developer, IT professional, digital marketer, web designer, or anyone with tech-related skills, your contribution can play a pivotal role in ensuring that our campaign achieves its goals. Arts professionals are vital to establish art education outreach as well.

ContextThe task involves extensive content creation promoting Reading, Digital Literacy, Responsible Social Media Usage, Arts Education and the establishment of regular Zoom classes involving all these areas. Generated Content will be shared on YouTube and other social media platforms (Twitter-X, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Facebook). The 2 target age groups for our social media campaigns are youth/young adults ages 13-21 and adults. Content should have universal appeal and be suitable to present a UN-Affiliated NGO.

Task DescriptionSustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) focuses on education and aims to โ€œensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.โ€ Illiteracy in Africa and in particular Zimbabwe is caused by poverty, early child marriage, gender inequality and traditional and religious practices. At the same time, technology has now reached even the smallest remote communities throughout the world, making lessons in digital literacy and responsible media usage a critical necessity. Our campaign seeks to emphasize reading, digital literacy, arts education and utilizing the arts for self-care in areas where mental health services are unavailable. By fusing the arts with this process, we have seen a dramatic increase in interest and sincerity among participants. This will be achieved through sharing animated videos, Canva graphics and original content on popular social media platforms such as YouTube, Twitter (X), Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook. Highlighting the importance and urgency of facilitating the fulfillment of SDGs 4 will be achieved using social media. The Online Volunteers will also participate in setting up Zoom sessions for art education and/or art therapy exercises.
