NRC is supporting the Government of Somalia and WFP in implementing the Baxnaano Phase II project inย Dhusamareb, Hobyo, and Abudwak (Galmudug). The project involves facilitating household enrolment through theย Unified Social Registry (USR), conducting biometric registration viaย WFPโs SCOPE system, and ensuring accurate data collection for effective delivery of cash assistance.
Theย Scope Registrar is responsible for conducting sensitization, biometric registration, and ensuring accurate and complete participant records in alignment with project standards and guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities
Register participants in the WFP SCOPE system following standardized protocols. Confirm the draft beneficiary list is validated by community structures (VRCs). Verify participant identity and eligibility to avoid inclusion errors and duplication. Conduct awareness sessions before registration to minimize misunderstandings or conflicts. Cross-check collected data with village committee records and tokens. Coordinate closely with LFS, Community Mobilizers, and MEL teams during registration and reporting. Ensure participants are aware of their entitlements, payment methods, and timelines. Participate in trainings, community sensitization, and support LFS activities as needed. Handle registration devices and data securely, ensuring confidentiality and protection of personal information. Perform additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.Qualifications
Post-secondary diploma/certificate in IT, statistics, or social sciences. 1โ2 years of experience in data collection or registration roles, ideally using WFP SCOPE or similar platforms. Familiarity with humanitarian programming in Galmudug. Excellent communication in Somali and basic English. Competent in using tablets and MS Office (Excel, Word). Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
