ContextThe joint UNโGovernment mission covered more than 70 localities along the CameroonโNigeria border in Adamawa, North, and Far North regions. Findings highlighted urgent gaps in water, health, psychosocial support, and cross-border trade, requiring significant resource mobilization and international partnerships. This assignment will transform the report into a catalyst for impact by engaging donors, mobilizing resources, and developing innovative financing models to support peace, resilience, and cross-border cooperation.
Task DescriptionWe seek support of 1 Online Volunteer Specialist who, under the direct supervision of the IOM Chief of Mission in Cameroon and in close collaboration with the UN Resident Coordinatorโs Office, will support resource mobilization and partnership development for the joint UNโGovernment border mission. Specifically, the Online Volunteer will be asked to: โข Develop a targeted resource mobilization strategy and identify funding opportunities (donors, foundations, private sector, diaspora, innovative financing); โข Draft proposals, donor briefs, concept notes, and advocacy materials to support fundraising and policy dialogue; โข Map and engage donor prospects, supporting outreach and high-level advocacy efforts; โข Explore and develop partnership frameworks with governments, regional bodies, private sector, and diaspora investors; โข Coordinate with communication teams to ensure compelling donor-facing materials; โข Monitor and report on fundraising opportunities, partnership opportunities to facilitate donor engagement. Regular communication with IOM and UN teams will ensure alignment of deliverables. Online volunteer won't be asked to contact any third party.
