Mucosal Immunology and Vaccinology Unit (MIVU) under the Infectious Diseases Division has a focus on studies to understand the systemic and mucosal immunology of diseases with natural infections and its application and extension to better determine the vaccine efficacy. Emphasis has been on studies of cholera, Shigella, ETEC, typhoid and recently on COVID-19 research.
Position Description:
The Research Officer will report to the Assistant/Associate/Senior Scientist and will be responsible for planning, organizing and implementing laboratory assays to conduct high-quality laboratory research. S/he will be involved in –
Required qualification and experience:
Masters in Microbiology/Molecular Biology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Genetic Engineering with an excellent academic record. At least 3 years of laboratory research experience.Location: Dhaka

Contract Type and duration:
Short-Term Contractual Service Agreement; duration will be 06 months with a possibility of extension, subject to availability of funds and performance.Salary & benefits:
Tk.62,895/- per month (consolidated) inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances; Festival bonus, income tax paid by icddr,b and subsidized canteen. Transport and daycare facilities are subject to space availability.Notes of attention:
