ContextWFP Sudan is currently facing a surge in fraudulent Facebook accounts and groups impersonating the organization. These fake accounts pose a risk to public trust and may spread misinformation. To address this, WFP Sudan is seeking support from Arabic-speaking online volunteers to help report these accounts to Facebook/META and trigger their removal. Volunteers will receive a certificate of appreciation from UNV and contribute to protecting the integrity of WFP Sudanโs online presence.
Task DescriptionUnder the supervision of the Head of Communications, the 20 selected online volunteers will: - Use their personal Facebook accounts to report identified fraudulent pages and groups impersonating WFP Sudan. - Dedicate approximately 1 hour per day for 7 consecutive days to flag and report these accounts. - Follow a simple reporting guide provided by WFP Sudan to ensure consistency. - Submit a short daily log confirming completion of the task. Deliverables: - Daily reporting of flagged accounts/groups. - Final summary of actions taken at the end of the week.
