FHI 360 is seeking three qualified candidates to fill a position of Regional Team Lead, EpiC Uganda to provide technical leadership and oversight of life-saving HIV/TB and other health services in three regions of Uganda.

Job Summary:

The Regional Team Lead will provide technical monitoring and support for implementation of life-saving HIV/TB and other health strategies and interventions for EpiC Uganda in the East, West, and North regions of Uganda. S/he will provide technical support and capacity building to project partners and ensure strong technical performance in his/her respective region. S/he will ensure completion of high-quality project technical deliverables on schedule and within budget constraints. The Regional Team Leads will supervise relevant program personnel to ensure EpiC Ugandaโ€™s technical objectives are met. S/he will contribute to and/or lead technical presentations for regional stakeholders, including but not limited to relevant Government of Uganda staff, and actively participate in regional performance review and learning platforms.

Accountabilities:

  • Provides technical leadership and oversight of EpiC Uganda HIV & TB and potentially nutrition, malaria, and maternal health activities in their respective regions of Uganda in collaboration with the EpiC Technical Director, Senior Technical Advisor HIV & TB, Senior Technical Advisor Strategic Information, HRH Technical Specialist, and Community Services Technical Specialist to ensure delivery of quality life-saving services at facility and community level.

  • Creates and/or refines technical portion of the project workplan as it relates to community services, strengthened PNPF service delivery platforms, mainstreaming Human Resources for Health (HRH), and Strategic information (SI) activities in their respective regions, ensuring alignment with available resources and budget.

  • Demonstrates good judgment in addressing challenges, selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining solutions, with some supervision.
