Task DescriptionUnder the direct supervision of the senior staff in the Programme Coordination Unit, the Online Volunteer will undertake the following tasks: Information Gathering and Compilation: Systematically gather and compile key information from the Country Programme Documents (CPDs) and the latest Annual Workplans (AWPs) for all 23 countries in the region. This information should include, but not be limited to, planned interventions, expected resources (both human and financial), and key performance indicators. Data Triangulation and Analysis: Triangulate the key information from the CPDs with the AWPs and the annual report of each country to ascertain the implementation strategy, correlation, and degree of alignment. Analyze the data to assess how well the programmes are on track to achieving the objectives and goals of the country programme. Identify any shifts in planned resources or interventions and analyze the rationale behind these changes. Contextual Analysis: Incorporate and analyze updates on the country-specific situation that may have shifted the programme's direction, approach, or planning. This will involve reviewing relevant reports, situational analyses, and other documentation provided by the country offices. Identification of Changes or Deviations: Based on the data analysis, identify discrepancies that may be hindering the effective implementation of the country programmes. Addressing Audit Findings: Contribute to addressing a common audit issue by developing a clear and documented analysis that highlights the alignment (or lack thereof) between the AWPs and the country programmes, thereby providing a clear roadmap for future work plan development to ensure full alignment. Reporting and Recommendations: Prepare a comprehensive report summarizing the findings for each country and the region as a whole. The report should include actionable recommendations for the PCU and country offices to improve programme alignment, enhance monitoring and evaluation, and address identified bottlenecks.
