Your team
Within the Directorate of People, the psychosocial expert will join the Wellbeing Team, working alongside welfare officers to promote a healthy and supportive work environment. In collaboration with Medical and Health and Safety services, the team provides staff with access to psychosocial support, medical care, workplace mediation, and occupational safety advice, working closely with internal and external partners to meet diverse staff needs and align with broader people strategies.
The Psychosocial Expert plans and delivers psychosocial services across the Agency, contributing to wellbeing and mental health policies, training, and awareness initiatives. The role requires autonomy and discretion and supports staff wellbeing, harassment prevention, and positive workplace culture in close coordination with HR partners and the Head of Care.
Your role
Your role will be to:
- Provide expertise, guidance and contributions on prevention of psychosocial risks and harassment matters and coordinate the implementation of policies in cooperation with relevant departments and committees. Develop and maintain actions plans and feedback surveys.
Required qualifications, experience & competencies
Candidates must meet one of the following educational and professional experience requirements:Completion of third level studies in a relevant field (e.g. psychology, sociology, labour sciences) meeting European Qualifications Framework (EQF) level 7 followed by a minimum of 5 years relevant professional experience. Completion of third level studies in a relevant field (e.g. psychology, sociology, labour sciences) meeting European Qualifications Framework (EQF) level 6 followed by a minimum of 6 years relevant professional experience. Internal candidates can check on the intranet to see what level of in-house experience is considered equivalent to educational qualifications where appropriate. Would constitute an asset: A diploma in prevention of psychosocial risks and/or wellbeing at work. Certification as a mediator. Qualification as a trainer Experience and knowledge in dealing with harassment matters. Knowledge of relevant occupational health and safety frameworks in a European context. Experience in drafting conceptual documents, policies, guidelines, etc. Experience and knowledge in conflict management interventions would be an asset. Experience in providing training would be an asset. Problem Solving: You know how to solve complex problems and provide effective solutions. The working languages of the Agency are English and French. For this particular job, candidates must be proficient users of English at level C1 and independent users of French at level B1/B2.

The selected candidate will be appointed for a period of five5 Years in accordance with the Staff Regulations governing officials at EUROCONTROL. Internal staff will keep their current type of appointment duration, whether determined or undetermined. Internal staff appointed for an undetermined period: at the end of the period of appointment for the post for which the person was selected, if the assignment to this post is not extended or the duties do not become of a lasting nature, they will be transferred to another post corresponding to their previous type of post, job level and function group. Renewal(s): This appointment may be renewed several times, but its total duration, including all renewal periods, may not exceed nine (9) years. Conversion: Conversion to an undetermined duration appointment is possible where all of the following cumulative conditions are met: the post is confirmed as being of a lasting nature; the staff member has completed at least five (5) years of service; the staff memberโs performance has been satisfactory; and the conversion is in the interests of the service. Conversion is therefore not automatic. The selected candidate must successfully complete a probationary period of nine (9) months before being established in the post. The selected candidate shall be appointed at the grade set out in this vacancy notice, or if a group of grades has been published for a job level, in principle at the basic grade of the published job level. Candidates declared suitable who are not selected for the post will be placed on a reserve list for similar roles. The reserve list will be valid for one year from the closing date of applications.
