Role:
The purpose of the Protection Coordinator (CSP) position is to support on technical oversight and project management, implement project activities and line manage Protection Officers and Assistants related to Civilian Self Protection (CSP) programming under the Protection from Violence (PfV) Core Competency (CC).ย
Specific responsibilitiesย
Oversee Protection staff through the provision of technical support, coaching, supervision and guidance,ย developing training modules and providing specific technical learning or/and training for project staff. Understand and follow up on activities and assess progress of implementation, provide solutions and report issues when needed. This includes regularly monitoring and evaluating the quality of activities. Develop and maintain effective working relationships, including service as referral focal point with relevant stakeholders including partner agencies, community leaders, authorities and service providers. Ensure the effective Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning processes for the protection projects including the qualitative and quantitative monitoring through team meetings, post-assistance visits, regular reporting and other relevant monitoring tools. Participate in periodic programme reviews, planning meetings and external meetings as requested by the supervisor. Generate internal and external protection project reports as required.ย Any other tasks as assigned by the Protection PM and Protection from Violence Specialist.Generic professional competencies for this position:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in Protection related workย University degree in social work, peace and conflict studies, human rights or a related field. Level of knowledge and practice with Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. required. Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience
Experience in coordination with external stakeholders, including local authorities, municipalities, and partner NGOs. Understand rights and protection issues of target populations; experience working with affected populations. Knowledge of the context in area of operationWhat we Offer?ย

This position is Grade (07) Step (01). Salary & Benefits are based on Gaza Duty Station.
