The Project Data and Systems Officer reports to the Head of Strategic Project Management Office. Responsibilities1. Enhance and Maintain UNRWAโs Transparency Portal โข Ensure the maintenance and development of UNRWAโs Projects Transparency Portal (open.unrwa.org), ensuring it displays up-to-date, accurate, and comprehensive project and financial information. โข Support data integrity by identifying and resolving data quality issues in a timely and accurate manner. โข Conduct ongoing quality assurance reviews to validate the accuracy and integrity of project and financial data published on the Projects Transparency Portal. 2. Strengthen Project Monitoring and Reporting System โข Review, maintain, and enhance the back-end of UNRWAโs project monitoring and reporting systems. โข Streamline and automate data pipelines to improve the quality, timeliness, and reliability of internal and external project data reporting. โข Develop validation processes and tools to ensure the accuracy and completeness of project and financial datasets. โข Build and update web pages using ASP.NET, bootstrap, C#, VB.Net, and MS SQL server database. โข Maintain and enhance the system's functionality. โข Provide daily support and analyze system requirements. โข Conduct bug fixes and quality assurance. โข Review code and ensure security testing of new/updated pages. โข Develop and update Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports and Power BI Dashboards โข Develop and update Microsoft Power BI Dashboards to visualize systemโs data. โข Supports integration between internal systems and the transparency portal for seamless data publishing. โข Implement data automation efforts to ensure that the portal reflects the most current information available. โข Analyze portal data analytics and usage patterns to inform continuous improvements. โข Implement system enhancements and contribute to future development phases of the portal. 3. Provide Technical Expertise and System Development โข Offer technical expertise to improve UNRWAโs project data management, analytics, and reporting tools. โข Support the delivery of data visualization solutions and dashboards to enhance transparency and decision-making. โข Liaise with DITID and other technical teams to identify and resolve back-end issues and enhance system performance. 4. Quality Assurance and Data Integrity โข Review existing data sources, tools, and publishing processes to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement. โข Conduct ongoing quality assurance reviews of project and financial data. โข Implement automated quality control checks and reporting mechanisms. โข Produce regular data integrity assessments and corrective action recommendations. 5.
