ContextIOM Germany's Outreach Team is part of the Project Support and Operational Compliance Unit. Its objective is to inform migrants and actors who work closely with migrants about IOM's programmes and activities, both in Germany and in countries of origin. The Outreach Teamย notablyย develops informational materials to reach migrants and inform them about voluntary return and reintegration support options available through IOM Germany.ย ย Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM) in Germany and direct supervision of the National Project Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for the following activities:
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities, including support in the
development of an outreach strategy to reach migrants and other actors IOM
collaborates with, particularly through social media; - Retrieve, compile, summarize, and present information/data on specific project topics,
particularly on Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration, and provide technical advice and content guidance to increase the visibility and accessibility of the data among target audiences; - Assist in the design and production of communications materials and in the production
and editing of videos; - Support administrative coordination of project implementation, involving liaison with diverse organizational units and external parties to initiate requests, obtain necessary clearances, process and follow-up on administrative actions, etc.;
- Draft correspondence, reports, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, presentations and other forms of documentation on Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration;
- Support with the production of content and visibility material for events;
- Respond to general information requests and inquiries; set up and maintain files/records;
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor and/or CoM. Education
School diploma with four years of relevant experience;
OR
- Bachelorโs degree in Visual Arts, Graphic Design, Art and Design or a related field from an accredited academic institution, with at least two years of relevant professional experience, preferably in similar roles.Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.ย Experience
- Experience in media and communication, including social media
- Working experience in video production and in the production of printed media, infographics, illustrations and visuals for social media is an advantage
- Experience in supporting project management activities including administrative support is an advantage
- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations
- Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups
- Knowledge and experience on migration with a focus on Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) is an advantage
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage

- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as Outlook is required;
- Demonstrated proficiency with the Adobe Creative Cloud software package, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro or demonstrated proficiency in managing a website is an advantage.Languages
